If you're saying Hardlight is a good weapon, you're a noob.
Do I even need to explain this one?! Every one with a decent understandig for the game knows why. And no it's not situational either. Why do I have to go through all this "Hardlight Master Race" posts?! Are you just stupid or is this some kind of joke? I get that it's pretty, but that's it.
Edit 1: Lol okay I have to leave now, but seriously, if you take it into a raid and I have to explain to you why it's bad, you must have some kind of brain damage. Also love the noobs with the: "lol you just suck with it posts", thanks for proving how ignorant you are.
Edit 2: Came for another round today since you guys keep it trending. A lot of comments are hilarious I have to say that. So today I wanted to give a little explanation, because a lot of people don't seem to get it and claim all the same stuff again and again. So here we go.
1. Hardlight is an auto rifle. Auto rifles are bad for pve compared to hand cannons or scouts. The high rate of fire / low impact makes it even worse, you really should know that by know guys. There really is no opinion here.
2. Let's talk about pvp. The main perk "volatile light" is for people who can't hit their target. The better option than shooting a wall would be to actually aim for the head, same goes for pve. (really can't believe I have to say this). Some of you claim it's good for cqc. No it's not. It's outgun by the vex, last word or any low rate of fire / hight impact auto rifle.
3. No it's not the best weapon for the first CE encounter. Right answer in one word: Fatebringer | secret edit: Ice Breaker, Mida users are welcome as well ;) Actually I don't give a -blam!- about what you use for the first part.

Edit 4: No it's not really an opinion. Is No Land Beyond a good pve weapon? No real opinion there either. You saying it's good won't make it better.

I like the hard light while it could use a slight buff, the weapon is pretty good other than that.

You sir, come across as a leathery scrotum. I do however value your opinion and your right to have it. Perhaps changing up your style and weapon use will keep the game more interesting for longer - i sometimes even use that dog of a gun bad juju and the titan flashbang grenade for the pleasure of the string of curses and the satisfaction of blinding captains before repeatedly punching them to death

Hard Light is fun to use, maybe not practical, but quite fun, nearly all of its bullets with the exotic perk bounce and its fun to bank shot dregs off of walls

What's up with all the hate for different types of weapons. Destiny is all about player preference and differing play styles based on the different classes of guns. I get your point but if their is only one or two types of weapons good in the game then why do the developers keep making the other types? I just think we need to stop these "hating on people who don't use the weapon type you feel is better" posts. Destiny was made for all types of different players and play styles hence forth many different types of weapons. Stop the hate man.

I enjoy using my Hard Light. I think it is a fun weapon to use, and with all weapons - you just have to be good with it, know it and use it in its situation to get the best benefits out of it. If you're trying to snipe with it, for example - maybe you should try something else. If you're using it to clear tight packs of enemies at melee range, then enjoy your profit because you're going to get some.

Hard Light sucks, period. Everybody claiming otherwise is a scrubbish individual or troll. There are so many much better guns out there. No discussion needed. It's catching dust in my vault since I received and tried it.

Hard Light [u]is[/u] a good weapon in both PvP and PvE.

i never leveled it up. i cant really say, but if it had elemental damage i would reconsider. in no way does it replace icebreaker or gjally for an exotic slot

Hard light is pretty bad for an exotic. It's not no land beyond or universal remote bad, but it's not suros good. Can't think of any situation where I'd really want to use it. It's outclassed by suros and mythoclast for crucible. And for pve I prefer guns with some range. I normally use scout rifles.

3 AntwortenXur has never sold it, so people think they're special for having it. I personally agree that it's trash and I never use it. It's basically an exotic version of Atheon's Epilogue or Dr Nope, and how many people use them regularly.

OP is right. HL is not something to brag out. There are way more better guns so if you think HL is one of the best you're an idiot and don't know shit about weapons in this game.
