I see everyone complaining about running crota six times and not getting crux... Not getting the exotic they want every week.. Remind these people of games from the past that had ACTUAL low drop rates.
For you runescape players out there, how many clues did you do and get nothing?
How long did you have to raid on WOW to get anything at all?
It could be much worse guys, remember that.

1 AntwortenThe only problem with Destiny loot system for the end game is that it's all time based. I played runescape for years I know low drop rate, but it wasn't timed. you literally could do it whenever how ever many times you wanted until you got it. You could even get it before most items in destiny just based on the fact you can do the end game activities 3 times a week.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von TahoeMax: 2/3/2015 3:22:08 PMDiablo 2. Getting a Tyrael's Might with no magic find in a solo game from Hell Baal was less than 1:400,000. Even with a perfectly geared bot each run was a few min. It could run for weeks nonstop without getting more than a few mediocre drops sometimes. In 3 years I never found Tyrael's And here we complain about Destiny drops after a dozen runs

66 AntwortenOh the days of runescape. These kids think Destiny is grinding. Pahahahah. They don't know how easy they got it. Any 99's out there? I only ever got 99 woodcutting, mining, firemaking, and cooking. Was pretty close to 99 strength. I got on a few months ago. Toooo much had changed. No thank you.

No one cares about those nerdy computer computer games. GTFO lololol

The issue is the FPS crowd is used to getting whatever they want, right when they want it. Anyone who plays RPGs/MMORPGs frequently, are not the people whining about RNG on the forums, I guarantee it.

Destiny seems to cater to scrubs, whiners, and casuals, so it stands to reason that gear, weapons, etc. will become even easier to obtain and upgrade moving forward, especially in light of all the bad press.

I get the feeling those people haven't had to grind for potential weeks trying to farm Prime Warframe's and weapons in Warframe ;-;

2 AntwortenYa and when I walked to school it was uphill both ways,... Same kind of point you're making,.... Most of these people never played pc, and if you suffer through a game with terrible drop rates that's your deal, not at all relevant to an xbox console or its younger player base, in a game where every character looks the same, where every one has the same weapons, drop rates mean nothing, they add flare to the game but that's it, there are countless weapons that aren't touched, and the ones that are most of us have already.

I remember grinding for the Blue Proto mount in WoW. I can't remember the drop rate, but I ran the ICC instance every single day for at least six months before I got it. It was split though, like four months, then I stopped, then another two months of grinding down the road. I want to say the drop rate was 0.05% but I could be wrong. And it only took like 10 minutes to run but damn!

The drop rates are fine. It's the system that sux. For example, I've dropped plan C at least 7 times....I've dropped most exotics numerous times...yet no Gjallahorn. I will keep playing but I wish there was a way to truly earn the guns we want not depend on a random lucky drop

The game of women and the unreasonably low drop rates on those pants.

Raiding in WoW... Yeah, kill a raid boss many times only to finally see an armor token you need drop, but only one dropped, and oh hey guess what 6 other people in your raid group are going to roll on that one token too. By the time you ever completed an entire raid set and got the weapons you needed, the next tier was already coming out rendering all of that gear irrelevant. Kinda like Destiny actually...
-
I killed hundreds of thousands of mobs in maplestory to get to level 152. But the difference is i actually felt like i progressed each level i got and each new tier of weapons and armor were so much better than the last. Same with wow. With all the grinding the progression was still there. I cannot "progress" (ie easily get into hardmode) until i get boots on my titan or a chest on my hunter but i dont even see the point i already have everything i want from hardmode and finding groups is a major time waste/headache.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von dumbminican: 2/2/2015 4:18:56 AMI'd be completely fine with making the drops rarer, hell I'd run raids 10 times in 2 days without a weekly cap easily

1 AntwortenLoved runescape, played so much of that game growing up. Killing just so many things for drops was fun. 99 slayer over 20m xp :)

pheonix mount 00.01 drop rate in wow i literally seen it once in 4 years do believe last i checked less then 300 players actually had one. Thats pretty rough, but drop rates are the least of destinys problems.
