So i was reading through the forums and i came upon someone talking about a planet for open world pvp.
This would be a great idea to implement into destiny imagine having large scale planets that you can setup camps with your fireteam or maybe even clan and have set challenges and gear you can get from getting kills or doing other stuff it would be endless fun, They should have bosses randomly spawning to try and wipe your team or make things more challenging for you and your enemies, example: a ultra ogre spawns in and tries to take out your safe zone/camp that you and your fireteam,clan etc setup.
THINGS WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IN THIS OPEN WORLD PVP
*Have safe zones/camps where you are safe from bosses/mobs but you can fight over other players/clans to take control off.
*Specific servers so you can always join the same server back to where your/clans camp/safe zone is their.
*Massive scale maps, even bigger than mars patrol.
* A reward system to with set challenges to complete to earn better gear for your character.
*Make death punishable maybe by wiping a players challenge progress on a specific challenge completely
* A clan system
*A camp/safezone upgrade system using resources to upgrade
Thats all i have for now but i will try to keep adding on new ideas to this :) i will add any new ideas you guys give me that i like to this

MMiles9: I think it'd be cool like Diablo 2 where you could just go "hostile" on each planet. Make a certain area for all the kids that complain they get killed when they're just trying to loot. I'd also give it a terrifying sound when u go hostile like from d2 if anyone remembers that

As long as you can flag/unflag yourself for the PvP. You're talking about killing each other in patrols, right?

Something like that needs to be objective-based, instead of pure deathmatch. Kills count, but not as much as completing objectives. Then again, for something like that to work, then they need to completely redo the loot system.

5 AntwortenOpen world pvp= sniper fights, that's it. You would be walking around and get sniped. No gun play no hiding. Just campers sitting waiting for people to walk into view and sniping them. This does not sound like fun to me.

3 AntwortenLmao You're asking for a whole different game now. Imagine if we had one on one unarmed Combat. We would have Health bars and be able to do finishers in our opponents. Killing one would slowly progress you one by one towards the final boss. We may even be able to save the realm from the clutches of The Outworld.

2 AntwortenI like it. I think one direction to take it is to set it on a new planet were say the Fallen have taken control. The three factions are trying to take it back because it has something valuable from the Golden age. Thus forcing you to fight for it. This would add to the lore of the game and set up a interesting environment. The question is can the severs handle many players and still let it be smooth. Don't want 20-40 people causing a laggy game.

2 AntwortenAlso, go play planet side 2 that's open world PvP. It's restricted to three factions and objectives. That works because there's no chance of some rogue coming in and just taking people out.

If I want to play on a PvP server I'd ask Deej to make it happen. Que for Crucible and leave it at that.

Or a world where you are on the side of the Darkness (Mobs don't kill you) and the guardians on the normal side can kill them, like a big war or something.
