Things you do so wife/gf lets you play
So what are the things you guys do so that your wife or girlfriend grants you "Destiny play time"?
I have to buy my wife clothes from H&M online and she allows me to play on the week nights after work. Weekends I get free time but sometimes I have to give her my credit card so she stops telling me to turn off the console.

I have to sneak and play cause she wants to spend time with me. I tell her we're married you have me forever and watching tv while you play in your phone and laptop isn't spending time with me. So I wake up early and I will play all day while she's at work.

You have to have a legitimate conversation with your wife about the fact that Destiny is a hobby for you, just like she may have some of her own, and that, without strings attached, you're entitled to spend time enjoying your hobby. That kind of bribe-for-play mentality will seep in to other areas of your relationship, and is not healthy, in my honest opinion.

I buy her nice things. If i want to play destiny for 7 hours straight I should have every right to. It is something i enjoy and i work too damn hard to have her tell me that im pushing her away by doing something I enjoy. Edit: I am a Marine Combat Vet with PTSD and Alcohol Use Disorder. I recently stopped drinking and play Destiny (and drink caffeine) to cope.

I let her play dragon age. ;) Which forces me to go play WoW and makes me feel less stupid for paying $15/mo for a game I play once a week or less.

I lie. I don't need permission from her, but sometimes my girl wants to come over and hang out. Nothing wrong with that. I love my girlfriend. But sometimes I need another hour or two of "me" time. So I lie. Tell her I'm about to do some errands or some bullshit, etc... I don't want to be blunt and tell her I feel like playing video games a little longer, and ask her to come by later. That would be such a dick (but awesome) move. She knows I'm a gamer. And she knows I like alone time. But I'm greedy and I want to dictate when I have her company and when I have my own time. Lie, lie, lie...

Work 50+ hours a week and get home.after she sleeps. Second shift at the warehouse is 4p-230a and I don't fet home til about 3a.

5 AntwortenI get home before her so I'm usually playing when she shows up. I ask one question about how her day went and then pretty much respond with, "really?,"nice","aww","I told you that bitch was crazy" so far it's been smooth sailing.
