To all the "high and mighty" 32's
Let me first say I know that there are plenty of 32s out there that are genuinely kind and helpful to the not so experienced guardians. I personally have a few to thank for making me the raider I am today. That being said...
I was doing a vog run on hard and made it to the oracles when one of our teammates had to leave. A few short minutes later a level 32 joins us. AWESOME! RIGHT...?
Nope. He proceeded to assume direct command before even beginning the encounter. Up until we lost someone were having a pretty smooth run with a clean strategy. Not only did he take over the play calling he started criticizing us saying he was the only one doing anything.
It doesn't end there.
After a measly TWO wipes, he proceeds to say he didn't feel like doing the oracles, oh, and he didn't want to do the Templar either. So he decided to leave, but not before asking us to reinvite him if we got past those parts. (He emphasized the if)
The original team consisted of one 29 and the rest were 31s. We weren't asking him to carry us, merely just carry the weight of a typical 6th teammate.
Moral of my story; just cause you're one level higher than most people doesn't automatically make you the raid master/play caller. Work with your team, find out they're strengths and choose a strategy that works for everyone. If you are as good as you claim you are, you shouldn't have a problem with adjusting.
Most of us take orders all day at work, we don't want to deal with it on our gaming time as well.
Edit: I don't know if people are forgetting my opening paragraph appraising all the genuine 32s, I just want everyone to know that I'm well aware that the amount of 32s that act like this are few and far in between and that there are even some lower level players with this attitude. Bottom line, no one should act like this. Interact with your team and have fun
Edit 2: to those of you crying n00b! Because we wiped at the oracles, I understand why you would think that but let me elaborate. Neither of those wipes were legit attempts to pass the phase. They were spent looking for a cubby hole(not the one with the spirit bloom chest) that one person could hide in and take out the back oracles. He didn't know where it was, only said that someone he played with used it one time. This pretty much confirmed to me that he was a level 32 due to piggybacking.

Well than he's NOT really all 32's....I am and if you look at my characters they actually ARE at that level lol!!
-
You don't comprehend things well, do you?

I'm a 32 hunter that got pretty damn lucky on the crotas end raid. My friends and I do the raid every week, and some still aren't 32... It's kinda disappointing but, I also know that lvl 32 prick of a person will join and attempt to usurp the power away from my friends an I when we raid, so we go with it, and if em he flips on one person, we all go at him cause he's the one messing up the dynamics of the team. If you'd like to hit me up for any help, I'll be glad too. If you'd like to join our clan, I'm more than happy for people to join, just send a request on bungie.net to "The Wild Aces" he has been my Xbox friend for 5 years now. We're all chill and like to hang and talk

Bearbeitet von MurdrTrain: 1/28/2015 7:27:03 PMLol I rely on actual skill and teamwork rather than my level. F**k me right???
-
So a full team of 30s can beat crota hard?
-
You wiped on oracles... Please don't say skill
-
Because this guy had us looking for a cubby hole in the back of the room that he said we could use to take out oracles, but he didn't know where it was, so the wipes were us just looking for it. Nothing to do with skill.

Bearbeitet von JoosE420: 1/28/2015 7:16:52 PMDid you get to 32 yet you slacker? Lol jk 😉

lol, I really don't intend to until HoW comes out. This may seem lazy, but it's actually cause I can't stand the look of the warlock raid armor. I'd rather wait a little bit and have cool looking armor
-
I hear you homie... if I can't look and feel cool fighting the darknesses then it ain't worth being a guardian
-
I see you and I are like minded lol. What system you on?

Xbox 360

damn, I'm PS3
-
Crappy! Maybe in the next reincarnation eh? I can't wait for some one to create a cross platform multiplayer game....
-
Woo go 360 add me die hard razer

As convenient as that sounds, I feel lik it would absolutely destroy the servers. Especially in destiny, which has enough server problems as is.
-
Well of course in a perfect world the servers would be stable enough... and crota would never standup immediately after kneeling sometimes

If you don't like someone or find they're being an ass, you should simply boot them from the fire team. It's your party, you should lead. Quite simple. Don't come on here n have a mini rant. There's plenty of assholes, at all levels.
-
That's just a terrible person w a power trip, he can def go f@&$ himself. I'm 32 but was def helped out a couple time by 32s to get there. My team was nice enough to carry a 31 through hard mode the other day

Becoming level 32 is 90% luck..... n I think... this is where the arrogance comes from..... NOT EVER person ...but those who are like that any way..... Inevitably they are dicks.....they just need a reason to fire ....n feel the are superior... It's a game...n most likely those types of people r trying to fulfill a void n their real life...cuz they sucky at it...
-
I ran with plenty of terrible 32 players.....funny things I can't get the drops to make it past 31 on any of my characters.....just repeat gloves n boots....the irony
