To all the "high and mighty" 32's
Let me first say I know that there are plenty of 32s out there that are genuinely kind and helpful to the not so experienced guardians. I personally have a few to thank for making me the raider I am today. That being said...
I was doing a vog run on hard and made it to the oracles when one of our teammates had to leave. A few short minutes later a level 32 joins us. AWESOME! RIGHT...?
Nope. He proceeded to assume direct command before even beginning the encounter. Up until we lost someone were having a pretty smooth run with a clean strategy. Not only did he take over the play calling he started criticizing us saying he was the only one doing anything.
It doesn't end there.
After a measly TWO wipes, he proceeds to say he didn't feel like doing the oracles, oh, and he didn't want to do the Templar either. So he decided to leave, but not before asking us to reinvite him if we got past those parts. (He emphasized the if)
The original team consisted of one 29 and the rest were 31s. We weren't asking him to carry us, merely just carry the weight of a typical 6th teammate.
Moral of my story; just cause you're one level higher than most people doesn't automatically make you the raid master/play caller. Work with your team, find out they're strengths and choose a strategy that works for everyone. If you are as good as you claim you are, you shouldn't have a problem with adjusting.
Most of us take orders all day at work, we don't want to deal with it on our gaming time as well.
Edit: I don't know if people are forgetting my opening paragraph appraising all the genuine 32s, I just want everyone to know that I'm well aware that the amount of 32s that act like this are few and far in between and that there are even some lower level players with this attitude. Bottom line, no one should act like this. Interact with your team and have fun
Edit 2: to those of you crying n00b! Because we wiped at the oracles, I understand why you would think that but let me elaborate. Neither of those wipes were legit attempts to pass the phase. They were spent looking for a cubby hole(not the one with the spirit bloom chest) that one person could hide in and take out the back oracles. He didn't know where it was, only said that someone he played with used it one time. This pretty much confirmed to me that he was a level 32 due to piggybacking.

That cubby hole is up above the pillar where the back right oracle spawns, it gives you safe line of sight on the back left oracle
-
I know. The only cubby hole I know of is the one that takes you the back way to the gorgons maze.
-
That might have been what he was talking about by cubby hole, but you can't do much from there
-
That might have been what he was talking about by cubby hole, but you can't do much from there
I asked him if that's what he was talking about and he said no. So idk what he was talking about

Who knows I'm on Xbox so I would help if I could
-
Yeah if u on ps4 add me FLASH_PRIME much better a working with a team then this guy
-
PS3 but I appreciate the offer
-
Yup as a 32 I go down there by myself and shoot or golden gun the back oracles. The problem is this guy do.He says staying up there is boring!Yet you had to wipe because you couldn't destroy the oracles or you died.Who cares if on top is boring!the whole point is to get it done and move to the next objective.
-
If I'm capable of handling the oracles from the bottom, I don't see any reason why I need to cheese it.
-
Yeah either way u do it the oracles is still boring. Really the whole raid is kinda boring. I want raid that like a nightfall bt 2x as hard cus u have 2x the ppl

You had to wipe on oracles..... Don't talk.
-
To be fair I'm 32 and me taking command of the group has proven to be beneficial plenty of times people learn what to do and get on task instead of screwing around and we get the job done and there's been time I've followed and not lead and the leader was a lower level and kept -blam!-ing us over so a higher ranking more expirenced player leading your group Dosent mean there an ass it usually a better plan
-
I wouldn't have minded so much if his strategy wasnt to have 5 up on the spawn ledge and have one person running around getting the oracles spawning at the back. Seriously I hate that strategy, it may not be pure cheese, but it's close, and it's incredibly boring for the 5 stuck up top. Not to mention you have absolutely no room for error when taking out the oracles.

Uhhhhmmm yaa

Airheads suck major donkey dick

It sounds like someone got to 32 via a big helping of cheddar white and felt the need to act all high and mighty about it My team and i have taken down scrota down on hard with half 31s and 32s members
-
No ones talking about crota...
-
Lol I know and there is also a new raid with a boss named scrota, he's a big scrotum lmao
-
he was implying u can't be 32 without getting Crota to go down on u ... I think
-
Yeah, that is garbage. I'm sorry there are those people out there. Still no reason to hate. I'm 32 on all my characters and only because I've put the time in. I can tell you this, if your getting bad drops for a character wipe and restart that class anew. Just remember your more likely to get armor drops by running the raid on normal first then run hard mode because you have removed the extra drops for the exclusive primary weapons. Once you have all your armor then just run it on hard only. Team work is the only way to get through the raid! No one is more important than your team and their moral, so if your don't have anything nice or constructive to say - Shut your face lol.
-
Mmmm according to your warlock which btw is only 31,says your lying about all 32's!! But let me guess you can put on an exotic helmet and become 32 right?
-
All my raid gear is 36 light. Go troll someone else. Btw that is the only warlock helm of the exotics I haven't leveled all the way up. And if you don't have anything nice out constructive to say-shut your face.
-
Uhhhh, or maybe he's leveling some gear to dismantle for the shards.....like I do ALL THE TIME.
