Borderlands vs Destiny
I'm a big Borderlands fan and was disappointed with the pre-sequel only on the last gen consoles, but now with the Handsome Collection coming and Borderlands III announced, I'm ready to play that instead of Destiny.

How is this even a question, Borderlands beats Destiny by a mile. Has more content than Destiny BY FAR. The presequel isn't that great since a stupid Australian developer made it so I'm not surprised.

As soon as i can scrounge the cash for a ps4, the handsome collection will be bought and i get the feeling i will kick Destiny to the curb.

Judging by the comments i would suggest you add an option for both, although for me personally boarderlands wins, i just love that series (although i havent gotten to play pre sequel since i was waiting for its current gen release). Me and my friends are on our second run through of 2s campaign, although with the new release i could see us completing our 3rd run of it.

1 AntwortenI tried the first borderlands but only lasted about an hour. Found myself bored and that's not a good sign that early in a game.

Borderlands for the story and the variety and the general insanity of it. But Destiny for the general gameplay and the world itself. Both are great in all honesty.

Borderlands by far. The sad thing is we're on Bungie's own website and Destiny is still losing.

Destiny does have some high points. I really like the graphics, and the basic FPS mechanics of it are very solid. It's very wasted, though! There's all that space to explore but nothing to find, and all those things the game wants you to do, but so little to accomplish, and some parts of it are so random that it doesn't really feel like you can work [i]toward[/i] a specific goal. So overall, I definitely prefer Borderlands. It's just plain fun, and while a lot of people knock the art style in it, I kind of like feeling like you're running around inside a comic book.

12 AntwortenAnyone that selects Destiny are either lying or have never played Borderlands 2. Borderlands 2 is superior to that car crash of a game in every aspect, now Handsome collection will include PVP there is [b]no[/b] reason to play that pile of excrement.

I like both, but going back to previous areas for side missions felt way more enjoyable and rewarding on borderlands. In destiny it just feels like a chore. The handsome collection is going to hold my attention for a while :)

25 AntwortenBorderlands is a good game with friends but it doesn't have the longevity of Destiny. It's a play it and forget it kind of game. There's no reason to go back to it.

I'm a fan of the original. Didn't enjoy the 2nd as much. Didn't play the pre sequel. Will buy the handsome collection though.
