Efrideet's Spear is Overpowered
Rolled with the proper perks, I believe this rifle is a bit game breaking and should be nerfed. Certain perks shouldn't be allowed on sniper rifles (e.g. armor piercing rounds, final round). What do you guys think? I put together a montage of how ridiculous this weapon is.
***Update: I am more so asking for opinions on the perks (final round, armor piercing rounds) and wether you consider them overpowered or not on a sniper rifle. Efrideet's Spear is simply an excellent example of these perks due to the reforging option, small clip size, and massive impact.

The perks are fine, they simply help breach the barrier for less skilled players to compete with more skilled players, final round is useless when you hit headshot's 80% of the time. Armour piercing dosent really have any value, it seems to only peirce walls some of the time and if you can hit two people at once with one bullet then you deserve to have this perk.

Say that to my Prudence II with Field Scout...74% aim assist all day! I could even beat it with my Heiracon LR-5 (a rare) with the RoF and impact of Praedyths revenge and a higher aim assist that the LDR (it has awful stability) It also has my favourite sight, the LongView 20, and extended mag for a 6 bullet mag.

3 AntwortenI don't really think it is OP. I have the Efrideet's Spear with all of the perks you mentioned. I'm not going to lie; it's a beast. It isn't OP for one single reason though, you don't have infinite ammo. It isn't something like Thorn (just an example people, calm down) where it kills in 2 shots and you can do that forever because you always have ammo. Yes, you have 1 guaranteed body shot kill per mag, but you don't have enough ammo to make it more powerful than any other special weapon. With Praetorian Foil I can 1 shot kill most of the time, but I have a lot more ammo for it than Efrideet's Spear. The same can be said of most shotguns.

You shoulda got one yourself bro. I used to complain about final round snipers, then I found a Gozen-C and after that bought 2 Efrideets Spears. If you can't beat em, join em.

I don't use sniper rifles. This rifle is not OP. If you can land shots like that you deserve the kill.

Whether your shot in the head or the chest, a sniper killing you with one shot isn't OP. Plus, snipers took a huge hit with the ammo change, so this is even minimized now. I don't burn two rounds to get to the final round, and even if I did, I'd get 2 kills from it and then need ammo. If your complaining about that your just a loser, and if your doing that your a pitiful PVP player desperate for 2 kills. Plus, you as the enemy never know if your killed with a body shot or headshot from Efrideets Spear. So how do you know your not getting shot in the head by a good sniper? You don't. Some people are just good with a sniper bro. It's a good sniper. Deal with it, she ain't leaving.

I absolutely agree that Final Round is an overpowered perk that should be removed from Snipers, both from experience of playing with an against them. I don't have an opinion on Armor Piercing Rounds though, because I haven't paid much attention to it. Do you mind letting me know what exactly it is that Armor Piercing Rounds do? I've generally just ignored the perk on my weapons.

Final round is op that's why I made sure to roll it onto my spear, because I know the day will come when everybody will be using it. Dark roads lie ahead and I will not be the victim

2 AntwortenFinal round is a dumb perk, changing it to a chance to do bonus damage would help, at the same time, people who rely on stuff like final round are really pathetic. The first time I saw someone kill through a wall in CoD was the last time I played a CoD game, that is an extremely worthless mechanic, it is pure cheese, I really wish they'd have just removed it.

I agree I own three 1 solar, 1 void and 1 arc all three have firefly and my arc has a work similar to white nail. It's overpower because it's similar to black hammer

3 AntwortenDunno man, I haven't encountered it enough in the crucible. I hate rumble, with a boiling passion, so I mainly stick to control. In control I haven't really been killed by op weapons as muh as people claim. But espear just seems wasteful and one he'll of a gamble, I mean you pretty much have to hit that 1 shot.

2 AntwortenI can see so many people using final round in the ToO. I usually don't like to bitch about perks and weapons but final round is probably the most thing that frustrates me in crucible. It is very cheap specially if people spam it instead of actually using the first two shot. ( a real pain in skirmish )

It's a sniper, and these perks should exist only for snipers. You have to get lucky to hit them from behind cover as well, so not everyone is landing these shots.
