Is It Camping If You Use A Sniper Rifle?
I'm just curious. I've read several posts of angry people complaining about people camping with shotguns AND sniper rifles....

It's kinda camping if you never actually move, a good sniper changes spots.

This problem even rises in COD! sniper rifles are for being in one spot for a period of time qnd picking ppl off. Also quick scoping is not the same as COD in this game get over it sniping is sniping now if you are playing control amd your sitting with a shotgun at the corner of the capture zone fine thats cool but if you are at a random location just sitting there with a shotgun or fussion riffle then youare camping

Plus no little red light while you line up a shot. I often scout rifle on Shores of Time at Point C, and get a few before running/dying. Often they look around, looking for the red light I guess, and I will nail another. I also usually use a scout rifle as my standard sniper counter-measure, because the scope is lower magnification, and sniper rifles sacrifice field of view for that magnification.

It's camping but even if you use a shotgun or fusion rifle, there's nothing wrong with it.

Camping as a negative connotation needs to be clearly defined. If a sniper is positioning himself between corridors and traveling as necessary to halt a teams progress, that's not camping. If you just find some elevated spot and hang out there because it's a good spot to get kills (but otherwise doesn't help the team), that's camping. Basically, a skilled sniper should be able to lock down an area without having to sit in one spot ADS the whole time. If not, you're probably just a wannabe sniper that is really just camping for kills. Can't be mad at a skilled sniper because it's not something everyone can do well.

Camping is the guy that sits in a corner of the map away from the action and gets 4 kills a game and isn't helping the team. If someone is in a good position down long hallways or open views to a check point of some sorts then no that is called sniping.

If you camp with a sniper, then you're camping. Camping is camping, no matter what. Now if you stay in an area for like 3 kills, less that 30 seconds, and it's not a cheap spot, then you're not camping.

I gotta say I haven't ran into a lot if any camping. Most people use shotguns and are running around. People complained about camping in COD, now people complain cuz run n gunners using shotguns.

Grey area, don't stay in one place too long, but you certainly don't have to run around the map like a crazy person.

If you're staying in one spot for 5 years then you're camping. Good snipers know to stay on the move.

I thought you could only quickscope in Call of Duty until I tried it yesterday. My god, one shot kills everywhere I go. It was either actual headshot accuracy or luck. Try it

The trouble is people moan about camping however camping is kms legitimate way to play and good players will utilise it well. The key is not to always camp as better plays will find a way around it. If you can predict were the enemy will attack and set up shop you should win a lot of engagements. Control is the best format for camping, but I feel it is best when you control a choke point or flank and then wait.

7 AntwortenIf your not using your primary and spend the whole game in one or two spots looking down your scope than yes that's camping. * it's not just sniper but all people using a special as a primary I disagree with and wish bungie would decrease special ammo and force people to actually use your primary as a primary

Spawn camping was a horrible blight. Back when you had a fixed spawn point, on a timer that everybody on your team shared. 5 people appear, 2 get sniped and the rest die to rockets. /ragequit

Its camping if you kill someone and their fragile ego needs an excuse. There is your overall guideline.
