to all who don't want matchmaking
You suck. I have been camped on lfg yesterday and today trying to do crota so I can level up a character from 31 to 32. I tried for 30 minutes yesterday. Been sitting here for 15 now.
Whoever said lfg was a good way to find people doesn't know anything. I'm tired of not being able to raid because I can't find anyone. At least if there was matchmaking I could play!
Edit:: please note I was a 31 trying to do normal the hard raid wasn't even out
Please read below points before commenting!!!!
1. If there are different lobbies for different levels and requirements, what would be the problem? Ie: all 30, all 32 for hard, x number of completions required, ect
2. No one would be forced to pick up random people. You could still opt for invite only fire teams. Just have an option for those willing to assume the risk
3 going to lfg or another site is a manual way to find random people. Why can't I just have an in game automated way to do it? It would save time
4. I play xbone weekday mornings looking to raid Half the time I cannot find group of 6 wanting to raid. It's ridiculous And yes. I message people and form a group, actively trying. I don't sit there hoping for invite. People trickle in and out but rarely do 6 stay and play
5 if I want to play with random scrubs , let me! Don't force me to do it your way !!! It doesn't hurt anyone if all people who want to risk in game matchmaking play together. Those that don't want to can do what they always do!!!

I hate LFG for the simple fact you have to paddle through a ton of bs before finding 1 good raider that can hold his own... For 12 I find 1 that is competent to the task at hand.... Yet I still managed to scrounge up those 1/12th players and have 2 clans and alternate teams to raid with now. Raid everyday to help others, ourselves, and practice different roles. Yeah, everyone should be able to run sword and relics....

I'm not trying to criticize you when I say this BUT maybe you are the problem? There have only been a few times I've been unable to form a fireteam using destinylfg.net. Have you tried playing in the evenings as opposed to the mornings? Have you tried hopping on the LFG site on a Tuesday morning? Do you have the appropriate great to do the raids? These are questions you should be asking yourself before you hop on the forums and rant. I for one wouldn't want to be matchmade with randoms because of AFKer's, and people with blues wanting to run the raid.

Personally I prefer destinytracker.com as it's a live chat. Means you can see active posts and cos it scrolls fast those who are actively looking tend to re-post. I'm not against matchmaking being in the game, I just want the ability to opt out of it. I rather enjoy doing parts of the Crota Raid with 1-4 people. Helps you build experience in every aspect because you have to do them all if you're by yourself!

I never used to have any problems finding a group, i have a raid team now so its much easier. The recruitment forums on here is better than LFG if you ask me

4 AntwortenI don't care if they add it or not but you will most likely still have all the problems described above. I don't understand why people think it will fix all of the lfg issues and everyone will be able to raid.

3 AntwortenIt should be there for the simple reason that it's no different than manually looking for groups BUT a whole lot more convenient. Instead of having to use some extrenal device to sign into a site and find people I could just push a button. My success rate in pugs is extremely high and I'm never going by any requirements, it's basically just "need one more" posts that i reply to. I know nothing about these people, their levels or what weapons they are using but we still make it work. My biggest pet peeve when it comes to LFG is that you have to spam a bunch of people and do it fast to make sure you get a spot. And then, usually, when you've found a team you get messages and invites from all the other ones you spammed. Suddenly you're a douche for asking for invites that you don't except. Hence, MM would be smoother and could have requirements that I can't be bothered to look for when I'm doing it manually. The only somewhat legitimate argument against raid MM would be that some fool could accidently queue up. But really, how hard would it be to put up a disclaimer?

1 AntwortenAdd matchmaking, add a vote system to kick if the player is idle for a preset time. Problem solved. Kick only after idle because anyone who played Left for Dead knows the kick system was abused big time.
