Well....I attempted a legit bridge run
So I was under the impression that everyone had to cross the bridge to finish that portion of the raid. 2 of us made it across with the sword and we were trying to get the rest across when the ogres spawned. The 2 guys that had crossed, killed the ogres and we got the drop. Is this normal, or maybe everyone doesn't have to cross?

1 AntwortenThe ogres spawn when the game believes that the near-side of the bridge is clear of guardians. This is accomplished either by everyone getting across, everyone on the near side dying, or the people on that side using that well-known exploit to "hide" themselves from the game until the enemies despawn. If you don't have anyone on the far side of the bridge when the ogres spawn, the totems will activate. But if you do have someone on that side, the game still seems to think you've done everything properly and will allow you to continue. I don't think this is a mistake. If the ogres were unable to spawn until everyone crossed the bridge, it would mean that no one could be allowed to die on the near side of the bridge. You would be forced to wipe if the last person died before making it over, since there is no way for anyone to go back and revive them. It is designed this way to give the players some margin for error. It just so happens that the design still makes cheesing possible, though not quite as simple as before.

No. I think you can have one person cross and have everyone die. He ogres spawn when every "Alive" person can cross

I think the ogre spawn is on a timer that starts once the adds on the original side stop spawning, and the game registers at least one person is over the bridge.

We 5 maned the first two parts of the raid. On the bridge section, 3 of us made it across and the other two died on the other side. The ogres spawned for us too.

It's normal. Shit, you could send one over and have him hide and only touch the panels when they glow red. Patch is broken as hell

Did it too seen it to can confirm

I did the raid by myself last night.

They have spawned with just me across before.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von USMC2147: 1/18/2015 7:41:08 PMI cannot confirm that I have never seen ogers without everyone on that side. If it's true and on a timer then I hope they fix that issue soon. There is no reason why you can't get everyone across besides just being that horrible.

Dont despawn the adds, that's not doing it legit.

Yea that's about right. Once the ogres get killed. The loot drops.

You just need one person to cross. Once he crosses, ogres will spawn after a couple of mins. He just needs to hide and stay alive while those who did not cross kill the ogres.

Yeah I'm not sure anymore lol. When my team did it yesterday, we must have hit a glitch because only one gate keeper (or whatever they are called) spawned on the other side. We only had 4 of us so that might have been the problem. Anyways it was easy going when we got 3 across. And then ogres spawned. We didn't even need to get the last guy over. He just waited until we killed the ogres. Weird.

Bearbeitet von Bushido: 1/18/2015 5:44:18 PMit's normal. it's actually how i did the first time i ever did the raid two of us were over, everyone else died. we had no idea what we were doing or what was supposed to happen. we end up just trying to survive.. and then there's a drop!

8 AntwortenCrota followed my friend into the summoning room, constant lag outs with good connections, he jumped down to follow my friend to the bottom middle where sword bearer spawns. It's gotten pretty bad.

The patch didn't affect anything. If you de-spawn the thralls(cheese), it takes the idea that your whole fireteam is on the other side, and once you try to get someone over ogres will spawn. De-spawning the enemies is actually skipping a part for the bridge.

If everyone at the Swordbearer side of the Bridge Encounter dies while there are still Guardians alive on the Gatekeeper side, the Ogre phase starts.
