Oh, congratulations Christmas noobs and Bungie. Destiny is dead. I quit.
Do you know what I had to go through to get my Ice Breaker?
Firstly I had to start Crota's End. It required moving a cursor to the exact spot, not exactly easy. THEN, I had to stand on a plate for 30 seconds to form a bridge. Thirty ... three oh. Stop and count that out, it's actually a long time. Then I endured a horrifying fall into the Hell Mouth. I couldn't see the ground or sky for about 10 seconds. And then there was the hardest part.
Get ready for it.
Make sure no young ones read this, it might give em nightmares.
THEN, I had to walk to the first chest. It was pitch black. The "weight of darkness" rose to a bone chilling 5. It was as dark as the bowels of loneliness and there were thrall all around ... well, none attacked me but I COULD hear them, and they sure sound scary. After walking about 30 meters through that gauntlet of nightmarish fear, I held X for what seemed like forever for a chest to open.
Then I got - nay - EARNED - my Ice Breaker (well, my second one, I bought my first of Xur - shhhh). It was damn hard work! It was so scary I'm still seeing a therapist about it. But the main point is ... I forget, but I know Bungie ruined the game.
I quit.
Edit 1: obligatory comment about my surprise at the number of responses
Edit 2: obligatory calling attention to the fact this is thread is trending - in a somewhat vain - yet giddy - tone like I'm receiving a prestigious award and not just a video game forum (stopping just short of thanking God and everyone who supported me).
Edit 3: sudden inflated ego fuels superiority complex, morphing into faux-activism as I begin calling for people to rally, and bump so we can get Bungie to hear our voices!

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Frost: 1/17/2015 5:08:08 AMLove the satire. On a serious note, exotics are earned, bought, and won via RNG door prize. Earned: Bad Juju, Pocket Infinity, Invective, Thorn, Super Good Advice, etc. Bought: Every other exotic, when obtained from Xur. Door Prize: Every other exotic, when obtained from an engram or chest. Anybody who whines because they "earned" something via a door prize is a halfwit. And FTR, I have won Gjallarhorn via door prize three times. I put much less work into it than someone who bought one the one weekend it was on sale. Get a LIFE.

1 AntwortenOh balls. I got about 5 words into this post and got tired of the whining.

Hahaha 9/10

13 AntwortenYou didn't earn it you got lucky. There's no earning in a random drop!

I have never seen sarcasm go straight over their heads like this post. Its so exaggerated. Lol by far the best middle pull i have seen on here. Fun watching the dumb dumbs
-
Please edit this to add a #satire tag. All of these idiots are making me nauseous.
-
1 AntwortenYou got it by luck just like all drops. You can't earn the lottery. Mine dropped as well. The more with it the more people will have to run weekly, nightfall, and raids.
-
2 AntwortenDon't be so mad most of the people who had it bought it the first time cur sold it anyway this is a way for the Christmas gamers who have worked their tails off to get a little catch up. You most likely have 5x the amount of gear and resources and skill and KNOWHOW so quit complaining and remember you were a noob too

I love you

Noob is n00b!

6 AntwortenI have put about 800 hours into this game got it the first day it came out i really like this game now dont get me wrong i have my disagreements and i would have more hours but i just got dragon age so that took about a week but any ways i have put so many hours into this game and have never been rewarded the ice breaker and the only reason i did not get it the first time xur sold it was because i was still new like most people and did not understand the value of certain things but i made sure to get it this time With all this stated would you say im also a noob mind you i have done every thing in this game so many times except the crucible i hate it but i will not put some one else down for liking it but to the point would you say im a noob because in an intelligent persons perspective that would just be extremely stupid

This is possibly the first actual must read since the game came out. Props!
-
2 AntwortenOmg you know what i had to do to get mine!.... Buy it the last time he sold it
-
1 AntwortenDoesn't matter. Xur sold it already despite what everyone thinks. Let's move on.
-
2 AntwortenI earned my strange coins to pay for the icebreaker.Your opinion is therefore irrelivant.

Um... I got my first ice breaker back before 1 the vault of glass was released and 2 not from any event. I got it from a purple engram... Back in the days before the treasure cave was a thing and getting a legendary was rare but an exotic was unicorn... And that same ice breaker I upgraded and re leveled it to 331... So I don't care... I'd rather someone snipe boomers during CROTA with a ice breaker rather than any other sniper... Esp since the black hammer is broken (for now) so to the noobs congrats hope it helps your collection out...
