I EARNED my Ice Breaker, ABSOLUTELY must read.
Oh, congratulations Christmas noobs and Bungie. Destiny is dead. I quit.
Do you know what I had to go through to get my Ice Breaker?
Firstly I had to start Crota's End. It required moving a cursor to the exact spot, not exactly easy. THEN, I had to stand on a plate for 30 seconds to form a bridge. Thirty ... three oh. Stop and count that out, it's actually a long time. Then I endured a horrifying fall into the Hell Mouth. I couldn't see the ground or sky for about 10 seconds. And then there was the hardest part.
Get ready for it.
Make sure no young ones read this, it might give em nightmares.
THEN, I had to walk to the first chest. It was pitch black. The "weight of darkness" rose to a bone chilling 5. It was as dark as the bowels of loneliness and there were thrall all around ... well, none attacked me but I COULD hear them, and they sure sound scary. After walking about 30 meters through that gauntlet of nightmarish fear, I held X for what seemed like forever for a chest to open.
Then I got - nay - EARNED - my Ice Breaker (well, my second one, I bought my first of Xur - shhhh). It was damn hard work! It was so scary I'm still seeing a therapist about it. But the main point is ... I forget, but I know Bungie ruined the game.
I quit.
Edit 1: obligatory comment about my surprise at the number of responses
Edit 2: obligatory calling attention to the fact this is thread is trending - in a somewhat vain - yet giddy - tone like I'm receiving a prestigious award and not just a video game forum (stopping just short of thanking God and everyone who supported me).
Edit 3: sudden inflated ego fuels superiority complex, morphing into faux-activism as I begin calling for people to rally, and bump so we can get Bungie to hear our voices!

You have bought Icebreaker and now you are complaining about other ppl buying icebreaker. That is fricken Hypocrisy. I actually had to earn my ice breaker like ACTUALLY EARN I had gotten Icebreaker 2 weeks after crota's end. (my first one) Since all of my friends and I had gotten to lvl 20, ONE BY ONE I had witnessed my friends getting Ice breaker, whether it was from Crucible, Vanguard Tiger, The Nightfall, or Weekly Heroic. They had all gotten it and made fun of me for not having it. Then we play a nightfall, that entire game , I am talking about how cool it would be to get icebreaker from it. we finish the nightfall it gives my friend his 3RD FRICKEN ICEBREAKER I had gotten icebreaker the day after during crotas end, through the first chest (that had taken about an hour to get because it didn't want to to spawn in the first 2 locations) You have no right to complain

3 AntwortenYou act like the normal crota raid is hard. No my and my friend have been carrying 27s through it full legit runs no cheese needed and beating crota in 25 to 30 mins full raid run. So you didn't earn anything you got lucky. Only exotics you earn are the exotic bounties. Garbage. Good day!

You earn trophies. Icebreaker is RNG. you bought (earned) yours WHEN? When u could farm spinmetal into strange coins obviously. I had icebreaker for a while. It's not to make people envious. So now your fireteam doesn't need u cause your skills are shit, but weapons are good. Black hammer is every bit as great as IB if not better as a legendary.
