I've been legitimately curious about anime. I haven't had any real experience with it spare that thing they did with halo a couple of years ago, and I want to know why it's liked so much. I've been thinking about possibly getting into a series
Edit: it appears the reason for popularity is either the story or the boobs. While my gut says it's the boobs, I'm assuming its a combination of both.

1 AntwortenThe ability to be completely original, have badass soundtracks, occasionally beautiful visuals, amazing voices for both English and Japanese, the hype for ships/couples cuz anime couples are beyond cute, interesting character design!!! Also boobs boobs ass boobs and many explosions!!!!

1 Antworten
secret bump
The fact that it's not real, also boobs

The over exaggeration of fighting is # one for me. intense plot twists is second and bewbs is third.

1 AntwortenStay away from normals, they usually have shit-tier taste in animu.
-
Some if it is really good with. But a majority of it is a bunch of huge-titted girls and stupid cliché characters with ridiculous powers.

Give it a go, see how you feel about it. My favourites are generally include violence, intellect, etc, here are some if my favourites with a short preview of what you're in for: Psycho Pass: In a world where the government can measure the likelihood that you will commit a crime, what would happen if someone couldn't be measured? What could they do? Death Note: A high school senior, the valedictorian of his class, finds a notebook one day that kills anyone who's name is written into the notebook. This student decides he will become the God of the new world that he will create with this book. Attack On Titan: Humanity lives inside the confines of a massive 50 meter wall, which protects them from the horrors of the outside world, and the Titans that encompass it-massive humanoid monstrosities that are nearly invincible, and have a never ending hunger for humans. One day, the wall breaks.

Watch Attack on Titan and you'll understand.

IDK, why is western live action so popular?
-
1 AntwortenIt gives autistics a way to think they're Japanese

Tokyo Ghoul. That is all.

Bearbeitet von Bu11et90: 1/16/2015 7:27:33 PMJapanese anime is popular since it adds all aspects of shows, movies, etc if you can read the subtitles while watching your in the clear. If you like animes with people being lost in a game I'd prolly start with the .hack (roots or sign) series or log horizon, if you want guns and good story Black Lagoon or Cowboy Bebop is good if you need English acting. Others would be Accel world, Akame ga kill, Asura cryin, black cat and black bullet. Darker then black, date a live. That's all for now I'll add more later This is only A- D in my library

2 AntwortenThey are just good. Look at Frozen. easily the best anime of 2014. Shrek and the Toy Story series are arguably just as good.
-
I enjoy anime for the more interesting plots, humor, character development, and art styles.
-
I would say its because it's a cultural product. It's just so very different from western culture. At least that's why I like it, in addition to good story and character development etc. Google "my anime list". It's a great way to see what the most popular and newest anime are.

Fullmetal Alchemists: Brotherhood. Watch it, and love it. My favourite out of around a 1000.
-
12 AntwortenJust, whatever you watch, do not touch Naruto, Bleach or Sword Art Online. Those are trash. Guilty Crown is s good starter.

Cuz its awesome

I like some of the art style. The blend of more realistic styles and cartoonish styles looks good to me. I will say there are too many miniskirts for my comfort.

Bearbeitet von Trad: 1/16/2015 4:23:13 AMPower Creep, humor, and feels. Just generally great build ups/hype trains for somewhat decent fights. That said, it's got a bunch of negatives. The iconic "anime gasp", useless filler, and just 100% through and through annoying/useless combat descriptions all come to mind. Then there's the overwhelming amount of teenage angst that's just overflowing everywhere.

Story, artwork, music and sometimes just kinda weird.

It's so bizarre, you can't help but wonder what will happen next.
