crota now next to impossible
just spent the last 2 hours trying to kill crota. he gets up after one hit moves faster than before. ogres spawn after 1 sword bearer WTF

Not true. As my first time taking him down (Christmas noob) we took him down 3 swords max.

It does seem like Crota gets up faster, but two hours? We did it in two swords yesterday. Sounds like your group isn't all that good.

Did it last night in 3 swords pretty easily. He can be an ass and start glitching you just gotta keep on him. 3 times before we killed him had him to one hit and he would start glitching. Shield being down but him not kneeling jumping off the bridge and bashing me or going down for one second then sprinting for me

Crota is easy with right sword bearer and good timing. Unless you find glitches... I was the only level 32 in the group and never handled the sword before. I had him down to one more sword before Crota jumped off his podium and followed me to the ground. After that I failed and we had to call in an expert friend who can do the sword in almost two goes. We had to wipe so much. Chalice disapearing Sword disapearing Over soul not popping up then wiping all Crota health regenerating Ogres popping up after only one sword run Crota going into building up top where you hide Boomers health keeps regenerating Crota following sword bearer to the ground Multiple chalices popping up (kinda nice. Lol) Hell, the ONLY reason I cheesed Crota do much was because he had so many glitches. So what was wrong with glitching the bastard back?

3 AntwortenWe were running it last night and he kept running after our relic holder and jumping off the side down by the rocks and killing him. 3 times in a row. Pretty lame.

Just a glitch. promote someone else to leader, have them take you to orbit, go back in and try again. Beat him twice last night.

3 AntwortenUnfortunately, these glitches existed before the patch. Before the patch I experienced (multiple times): the swordbearer dropping the sword and then the sword disappearing; Crota falling off the platform while chasing the sword carrier; ogres spawning before the second swordbearer; Crota NOT kneeling even though his shield has been taken down to zero. How many times did you try to kill Crota legit before the patch? Because all but 2 of my kills were legit, and I have seen all of the glitches you are referring to.

5 AntwortenFirstly i have done the raid ligit before the patch, i have cheesed it also but there are some glitches with the crota battle. I ran this raid twice on tuesday and 1st time with my lock we sailed through completely normal, however, on my second run (hunter) my team did have some glitches 1 - we killed the swordbearer and his sword dissapeared 2 - after a wipe we killed the first swordbearer and proceded to mess up crota, then while waiting for the second swordbearer the ogres spawned However i will say we still completed it fairly easily, just thaught id confirm there are some glitches but they do not make it impossible!!

You cant be for real, you need a good team that knows what they are doing...Crota is easy. Are you on PS3?, ill run it with you with my friends

3 AntwortenThe only thing I want to say is this.. You guys are pretty hypocritical.. Everyone played it a certain way and they were wrong right? How come I've yet to see a single video of anyone crushing this encounter without a fatebringer/ghorn? You all use the exact same load out.. How is that really any different? Food for thought

We got to crota last night after struggling and couldn't finish him . It's just a matter of timing and learning it properly ! And yes , we do need to "git gud" before anyone tells me :)

5 AntwortenKinda pathetic if it took that long. You clearly messed up because Ogres come after about second sword use (when he ventures to the left). Always has been that way and is very easy maybe shouldnt have cheesed...

Just because you're so used to cheesing it that you can't do it legit anymore isn't our problem

I think the ogres are on a timer, not based on swords. As a result if you spend to long on the first sword you will have to deal with ogres after one. Also crota is still easy, once you get it down fully its pretty much a flawless run from lamps to the reward at the end

First attempt on Crota this Tuesday. Never tried before. Took 4 wipes but we eventually took him out in 3 swords. Seems like he moved to the right everytime after the first sword run before we could get two runs on him. Just make sure everyone stays alive, kill boomers immediately and go to the pit room to take out ogres. Not sure how different the cheese method was, but seriously Crota is way easier than Aetheon.... I don't know why any Cheddar was needed in the first place
