Do pulse rifles need a buff?
I never really see anyone using a pulse rifle, I like them personally, I just don't see a reason to use one over a hand cannon or scout, what do you guys think?
Edit 1: 256 people think pulse rifles need a buff, cmon bungie make it happen!
Edit 2: wow guys almost 1000 people agree with me, let's make this thread heard by bungie !

2 AntwortenI think they need a base damage or impact increase. The idea a burst fire auto rifle (m16) would have LESS (or even close) impact than a submachine gun (hardlight or any low impact high rof auto rifle) is lauguable. Pulse rifles should do more damage.

2 AntwortenWell , red Death & Bad juju are both fine , they are unique and desirable due to their perks. Both are usable for particular situations. With most class of guns , i think there are really 2 viable exotic solutions that are top dollar. So jn that respect , I guess they are fine ? Perhaps the legendaries need looking at. Auto : Suros & Hard Light handCannon : Hawkmoon & Last word scout : Mida tool & ? pulse: Red Death & Bad juju sniper : Patience & Ice breaker rockets: Gjjallahorn & Gjjallahorn I got bored at this point ..

1 AntwortenIf one of the best perks on pulse rifles are "can be fired in full auto", then what's the point of having a pulse rifle and not an auto rifle? Of course a couple of the high-end guns with very unique perks are viable, but in general pulse rifles aren't competitive with any other primary weapon. They need something defining that matters.

Well, I would worry if Bungie said they gave a pulse rifle a buff. I was just fine with how Red Death used to be. I had the timing down and it was a headshot machine. One burst, one head shot. Then they decided it needed a fire rate buff. To compensate, they lowered it's damage. They turned it into crap. I would be very leery of a pulse rifle buff from Bungie...

I love pulse rifles I truly enjoy my red death, bad juju, and oversoul. In other shooters burst is more accurate and deadly at mid range so maybe not a impact buff but more crit

yup they do... REason # 1 is (how many do you see in PVP?? ZERO) reason number 2... How many people do you see use them in PVE? (slightly higher than in PVP me thinks... just slightly)
