Any theories is there something I'm missing? All the planets are occupied one would think this alien races would have space blockades or at least patrol ships around the planets yet we can fly in every time and attack them whenever we want. The only patrol I've ever seen is mission to the reef.
Thanks for your input guardians its been a great read what u guys r putting out there here are sum of my favs.
My ship can do kessel run in under 12 parsecs get gud noobs.
Space magic.
Having no story line means no holes in it.
Great ideas about small pre landing space battles.
The alien races are just broke arses that can't afford space blockades.
Space is huge and our ships are small and to hard to detect.
Warsats help defend safe passage
Active camouflage! (wouldn't that be just painting your ship black?)

5 AntwortenAnd if ghost can materialise a gate keepers head out of his ass why cant I access my damn vault from orbit.

6 AntwortenWhy don't the vex just teleport a super bomb right in front you, why haven't the vex terraformed any other planet as it only a week with Mercury? These are just the kind stuff you just have to roll with

11 AntwortenIn one of the first story missions you have to recover data from a guardian ship that had recently been shot down. Clearly, somebody somewhere has the capability to shoot down our ships, but it's never again touched on throughout the rest of the game. Running around the planets I've never seen ADA or SAM emplacements and none of the enemies we encounter seem to have anything resembling MANPADS, so it would seem that there must be interceptors or attack aircraft flying around out there. Yet, there is never any mention of such threats and we're free to fly around and do as we like. Also, many of the guardian ships in the game appear to be heavily armed with rockets, cannons, lasers and all sorts of other fun looking stuff. However, there doesn't seem to be any purpose to any of this ordnance. To add to the immersion of the game I propose that when in transit to a selected destination there be a random possibility of being attacked by enemy spacecraft. If attacked, the loading screen would transition into basically a minigame where you have to use your ship to fight off the enemy vessels. When in a fire team of 3 or more there would be a high probability of corvettes and capital ships appearing to add an extra degree of challenge. These space battles would be skippable, but completing them would reward Vanguard marks/rep, planet materials and a chance at legendary engrams. The bigger and more successful the battle the better the rewards.

11 AntwortenStarwars battlefront 2 ps2 BEST space battling setup to this day in my opinion.

5 AntwortenYou know how it works. You bring Holliday the salvage, she keeps our ships from falling out of the sky.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Simmons the Red: 1/7/2015 12:30:56 AMI have a theory or two. One, the "Great Battle" thats mentioned probably rid most races of their space faring capability in the milk way. Meaning the Cabal, Fallen, Hive and even the Queen had ships that all paricipated, but was wipped out during the war, only a few remain. Think about post Halo 3 and UNSC and Covenant only had a few ships after the war was over. Anyway, post "Great Battle" only a few Fallen ships remain in the hands of certain, maybe nomadic Houses. Hive seems like the race to go hear, infect or mine planet, move on to next one, so they may have little numbers of actual space combat vessels and may only have ships that are designed to just infilitrate. Cabal seems to be into aggressive military tactics, so they probably cause alot of destruction during the battle, which led to a number of casualties on all sides including their own. Don't know about the Vex, I don' t even think they need ships to get where they want to go. Basically, lack of combat worthy space worthy vehicles mean ample oppurtunity for smaller ships to go wherever they want. Another theory, smaller then one above. The ship is small enough to not appear on any radars, and no alien race has the capability to form a blockade around the whole planet. I mean our ships usually go to desolate, abandoned areas. **What I really want to know is why does my ship have all these big freak'n guns and I don't get to use them?

20 AntwortenEven worse, how do our ships turn and fly in space with just thrusters facing backwards and wings. Wings are pointless in space, there is no atmosphere and no drag created to make the wings work

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von UberFonzie: 1/6/2015 4:12:34 AMI'd suppose most aliens don't care. They see thousands of ships every day. The Cabal are reverse-engineering Vex wifi routers, the Vex are high jacking dirty Fallen tv shows, the Fallen are cyber-stalking the Vex/satisfying their yearning to scratch at the barricades of our residences, and the Hive are too busy playing Dig Dug on the moon.

1 AntwortenEveryone knows we cloak our ships between planets. Duh!
-
4 AntwortenAlso why do our ships bank when there is no wind or air to be buffeting our ships?
-
3 AntwortenLol bro, that's no hole in destinys story, you just found a way to widen the gaping void that already is destinys story XD that said I find the game fun.
-
1 AntwortenYou'd think the darkness would wise up and camp our spawn on each planet...easy win.
-
1 AntwortenThat thing called a video game I think.
-
1 Antwortenthere are aliens, ghosts, magically summoned jet skis, and my Warlock generates fire balls and purple bombs and carries up to 27 weapons on his person at all times... But yeah why does my spaceship travel uninhibited during a loading sequence, that is so unrealistic
-
6 AntwortenShips are useless in this game anyway, please take out the cinematic screens or give skip button they are annoying me
-
1 AntwortenThat's what all the glitter in space is there for. It's throws off enemy radar.
-
1 AntwortenIsn't the Darkness all around us? I think we can't get out easily and the others can't get in easily. Do we even know for sure if any other races are allied to the Darkness? I'm not sure that even makes sense. Err space magic.
-
2 AntwortenHave you not seen the amount of time we spend on the loading screen, we're clearly flying the long way round, to avoid detection.
-
13 AntwortenI have yet to land on any planet and feel that it was fortified. Obviously each enemy has large ships, but a planet and the space around it is huge... No surprise from me.
-
It's a huge hole. The fact that you could pilot a ship in reach and not in destiny is just dumb.
-
Space is huge. Your ship is small. A planetary blockade would be hard to enforce without a massive and complex orbital mine field. Large ships would be easier to spot and intercept.
-
2 AntwortenBecause the game was released unfinished. Only a fraction of the game's cost was spent on the game itself. The rest was spent on commercials, marketing, hookers, and blow.
-
If Han Solo can get past the imperial fleet with a wookie as his co pilot. We can get past some aliens. Jeez ppl.
-
The Light. Obviously.

After your first mission on mars you give the shipwright (aww yeeeah) the plans how to dodge ground-orbit defense of the cabal. After that suddenly you can see all the people on mars with you. How you yourself got there in the first place??? #warlockmasterrace in my case i´d like to think :D
-
They're scavengers not police, we have a small one man ship with a jump drive in it, that's pretty much all you need, in the off chance there was a space blockade I'm sure it would be done with a skiff(spelling could be wrong) which is so big that your small one man ship could easily evade it
