Why Bungie won't flinch to permanently mass ban people who cheat
While some of you may think it's all good and well to exploit raids, there will come a time where Bungie will intervene. As an Activision subsidiary they are not unfamiliar to the practice of mass sanctions. Blizzard has been mass banning people for a decade now. We are talking twenty, thirthythousand at a time. Bungie will have no problems following suit.
It's a good thing for them too as they already made their money off you. The repeat business from the truly addicted is just an added bonus really.
So by all means, keep it up!
(I may get some Activision stock :o)

Hahahahah, banning 30 thousand users who bought the dlc. Anyone who bought it is a promising candidate to buy future DLCs and subsequently make them money. I doubt they would risk banning exploiters, which were using flaws in their own system. And a lot more people have exploited him than you may have thought

I don't believe bungie will boot people for exploiting inherent flaws in their game. It is their job to fix them, and they have before, its no different than the loot cave. They'll get rid of it, but how could they ban people for playing the game within the bounds of its own coding?

Maybe if they got their finger out their asses and sorted these problems straight away then there wouldn't be a problem, pretty much the second week these glitches were all found now everyone had all the raid weapons and armour

Here's why I don't think they'll be doing that. Aside from the countless other exploits, the CE cheat would be hard to prove. A player got disconnected during a boss fight? From their end, it's hard to distinguish why they disconnected, only that they did disconnect. Anything could have happened on the players end that could have caused the cut out. Don't get me wrong, I don't like all the cheese going around (even though it's being washed down with a lot of whine), but I think dropping the ban hammer at this point, for this raid, isn't the way they'll handle it.

I think only the crota fight is a actual cheat, all others are cheeses, using game mechanics to your advantage asthey weren't supposed to be used .

Still an exploit regardless of how you look at it and is still frowned upon but they banned no one for it. Even after they baby bumpered him he was still exploitable to this very day it's just a little harder to do. Yet still no bans. Sad to say that I seriously think they wouldn't ban anyone as a major chunk of the community has done some sort of cheesing in some shape or form.

Bungie has already said that they are not going to ban for raid exploits. They only have banned for the heavy ammo exploit in the crucible. They will patch them and then go on their merry way while we all struggle to do it the right way.
