While some of you may think it's all good and well to exploit raids, there will come a time where Bungie will intervene. As an Activision subsidiary they are not unfamiliar to the practice of mass sanctions. Blizzard has been mass banning people for a decade now. We are talking twenty, thirthythousand at a time. Bungie will have no problems following suit.
It's a good thing for them too as they already made their money off you. The repeat business from the truly addicted is just an added bonus really.
So by all means, keep it up!
(I may get some Activision stock :o)

If they want more money from us as in future dlc they not gonna do that.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dice: 1/8/2015 12:33:58 PMAnd to the people who can't beat crota, YOUR PATHETIC! Go back to viva piñata noobs
-
But have 3 million+ people been banned at once?
-
That would be just fine. The 12 or so missions are getting old anyway.
-
Hahhhahahha! Dream on buddy, meanwhile I'll go finish Ir Yut, alone.
-
Oh yeah and you're a bitch lol
-
using glitches in a game is not eligible to ban someone. those glitches are Bungie's messup, and they wont ban people for them. people cheese raids. get over it!
-
Lol you guys are desperately hoping someone will get banned for cheesing the raids lmao well it's not gunna happen get over it
-
Lol bungie mass banning, that was a good joke to read today thank you
-
By the way, my fireteam leader has just had connection problems, sent him back to dashboard when Crota kneels every time, he freezes and it's easy to kill him so idk what exploit you're talking about as he is just going back to the dashboard. Not hing wrong with being dashboarded, it's part of how thmuch Xbox one be ps4 work so I don't see the fuss
-
lol not our faults their coding sucks! gonna cheese on my 29 titan today!!!
-
1 AntwortenIf they mass banned who would pay for their DLC's? Haha
-
Bungie is not a subsidiary of Activision and neither is blizzard. Activision/Blizzard are one unified company.
-
I'm not entirely sure that this applies regarding Destiny. What's the use of banning someone so close to the next DLC release? If they did ban, and subsequently lift it in time for House of Wolves well...then we can really see how dark their practices have become. I understand bans to be a consequence of cheating, rather than exploiting. Cheating including aimbots, farming bots and the like. Being able to beat a raid boss because of an error overlooked in QA? I'm not ruling it out, but I'm not worried about it actually happening either. To me, it's the equivalent of letting Ice Breaker regen only to switch to a different special. Seriously, I believe that. If Bungie wants to ban me, then I won't cry about it. I just feel sorry for those many thousands that get banned as a consequence of not being able to team up with anyone that wants to beat Crota legit, because I have just 2 completions both using the exploit, I didn't want it, but I couldn't find a group that didn't want to do it properly. You see how that could be unfair? Speculation on this is rife, I think we should be free to complete the game whatever way is possible and if a method is deemed worthy of a ban after its been released to the public, the testing process should be scrutinised before we, get penalised.

1 AntwortenExploits are not cheating though. They help find glitches in the programs and highlight the issues. Now exploiting for the "best weapon" or "unattainable gear" (such as the house of wolves ghost shell) that's cheating. Learn your stuff before you start spouting utter bullshit in the forums.

Wouldn't the ban have took effect already?. When the heavy ammo glitch hit and people were reporting players for using it bungie started dropping the ban hammer that day..

Bearbeitet von METALmurderer: 1/6/2015 6:10:13 PM
It's a good thing for them too as they already made their money off you.
How mamy people will buy the next season of DLCs, or the sequels and their DLCs, if hit with a ban hammer? I agree the kneeling on Crota glitch could be seen as cheating, the second lamp exploit in the abyss or back boxes/self rez glitch are not cheating as much as they are exploiting Bungie's own mechanics to their advantage. Fix for lamps? 1 sided invisible wall, or reduce knockback, or increase damage so it WILL kill you. Bridge glitch? Add the room swordbearer spawns from to the aggro radius of enemies. Why wasn't it included in the first place? Warlock bridge glitch. Dont despawn the thralls on death. They don't despawn after you wipe in the abyss! If they cared half as much as you do, they'd hire more compotent testers! Bungie shouldn't be banning people, they should be giving them jobs to prevent these kinds of bugs in the future! Edit: also, to my knowledge, Bungie is not an Activision subsidiary, just a developer that signed a contract with a publisher for funding to make the game happen, then the resources to get it to market

huge difference between blizzard and bungie. Many exploits on warcraft effected the server economy, Mining bots, or eploits to farm crazy amounts of gold. Bungies "exploits" are down to bad programming, and oversights on how players will find ways to do a boss. Thing is. in an fps game, you don't want to be shot... so finding somewhere to hide and shoot the boss is a staple of how to play.. But where is the line between, hiding to shoot the boss, and Hiding to shoot the boss without ever being hit? Jumping over a gap. intended right? jumping over a gap that "should require a bridge" exploit or being smart and using the surroundings and weapons to do the task? in my opinion, playing the game without using any 3rd party software, or lag switches / Disconnects is not cheating, its being resourceful, if your found method of killing the boss is not intended, then it should just be patched. Players should not be punished for using a method to kill a boss, which never had instructions on how to kill him in the first place.
-
Don't make me laugh. Bungie will patch it but they will never ban the people doing it.
-
Half the community would disappear over night is probably why
-
Bearbeitet von Yorginshnitsel: 1/6/2015 5:33:41 PMMaybe if they play tested their Disc Locked Content a bit more then there wouldn't be as many glitches
-
As an Activision subsidiary they are not unfamiliar to the practice of mass sanctions. Oh you mean like how Activision has banned (not) all the cheaters on tHEIR CoD games? if that is an indication then its pretty clear Activision doesnt give a damn.
-
Because THEY CANNOT!! THEY HAVE NO POWER OR AUTHORITY OVER THESE THINGS!!!!!!! ACTIVISION MAKES THESE CALLS AND WE KNOW FROM CoD, THEY DO NOT BAN PEOPLE!!!!!!
-
1 AntwortenYou are hilarious. That's a great idea. Let's ban the only people playing our game from our game. *self righteous. I also bet money OP has cheesed something along the way.
-
If they wanted to ban people for cheesing they wouldn't have joked about people cheesing atheon in the new year update. They fix it then laugh about it.
