Don't do it!
Halo Reach had a similar exploit where removing the Ethernet cord could net you mass amounts of credits. People were banned for it.

Soon Destiny has 5% population prior to the mass banning. People find new games during their probation, Destiny begs for forgiveness but only a handful trickle back in. DLC is offered free but gamers have found new addictions. Soon Destiny 2 scraped, hundreds lose their jobs and Bungie is reduced to a shell of it's former self. Activision breaks contract, Bungie slides back to Microsoft. Halo instantly becomes better..
