grimoire score = skill??
So for the most part I look at grimoire score to judge someone on how good they are and honestly it's seems to be a pretty goo indicator. So at what point in grimoire score do you consider someone experienced??
I have 2535 grimoire and i think that's pretty good Id say once they hit 2200 they're experienced.
Also I've played as little crucible as I can while still getting exotic bounties done. (Because it makes me want to stick needles in my eyes) so I very unexperienced at that.
I realize about 150 score or more is due only to ghosts however I still think it's a good indicator

Grimoire points does not always = skill. I have 2290 with 3 characters, 1 at 30 and 2 at 29. I have never raided, tried nightfall or weekly heroic (though I want to do them all) , iron banner or even pvp (attempts made not even worth talking about) and my skill level is Noob. I wouldn't say I suck completely because there has been some improvement but not enough to boost confidence and jump into a fire team.

I look it as experience. 1700-1900 still kinda just finishing the baby run. It lets you know whether they've spent time harboring skills you need in raids. I don't know a lot of people who would sit by idly watching a video ghost hunting for grimoire score. That being said, I don't discriminate due to score. That'd be stupid. It's just a quick and semi-reliable way of knowing what's what

You may have hunted for grimoire, but with zero crucible under you belt and no high level character to speak of, you shouldn't be even talking about how you judge experience. Looks to me you don't have enough to have earned that skill

3 AntwortenI'm at 2700. Should be AT LEAST 2710. Run 2 hunters and a warlock. Could get a couple quick points by deleting the one hunter and making a Titan. Most of my remaining score is for crucible. I play crucible a little bit, but really only go full throttle when IB is active. I've also been ripped some score. The other day I hit 10k pulse rifle kills. The card showed up, but I didn't get the 5 points. Same thing happened the next day when I got my first level of kills on my warlock. I am guessing whatever the max is, I will never be able to achieve it because of the issues like this, and God only knows how many times it happened before I started checking it. I have several friends that have had similar issues of not receiving their points from certain things.

To the people commenting they don't let people with less than X grimoire score on Fireteams.. you suck. 2 people with experience can get competent new players through either raid easily if you give them a chance. And you should give them a chance, new players are good. No new players, devs stop caring, game dies

6 Antwortenin my eyes Grimoire score has got nothing to do with skill or experience. I have a grimoire score of 2140 and thats because i only like playing as a hunter( I started out as a titan but got sick of it). I have two and a half sets of full crota raid gear and completed him on hard more than 10times since it has been released, i have pretty much all the exotics apart from the Vex, Hawkmoon and Suros. Grimoire score only indicates on how much time someone spends on destiny and that they have different characters, says nothing about skill or experience though

It's an indicator, but a very GENERAL and BROAD one. And, it's minimal worth is mostly only applicable in PvE. Not enough of an indicator to exclude someone with a low score, imho.

yes and no cause some people just go around looking for all of the ghost and grinding for them but its how i tell if some is a chirstmas n00b

That don't mean much, to me. Just how much time you invest. Going around collecting ghosts doesn't really make you have skill

I only have 1900 or something like that and I usually top of the team in every crucible game (usually rumble occasionally clash) wanna know my secret? Check my profile and look at my shotgun. Nuff said

In my experience, a lot of good ppl have 2500+ grimoire but there are still a lot of bad players with that much. With that said, ppl with less than 1500 are most likely new and not very good

Grimoire score is more about time played and activities accomplished not necessarily skill.... My grimoire is high but doesnt mean im good... My kd is absolute crud. So yeah lol its not something you judge a player's skill by.

Kind of. Usually people with 2300+ are atleast decent (although I think the DLC screwed that up by adding more freebie score, right?) I never go by level anymore after a handful of games with level 31/32s that all got ratios less than .10. (Facepalm). I usually like people to have over 2000 score. Not sure why that is exactly, I guess it ensures that they have been playing enough to atleast kind of know what theyre doing.

I have 2185 with about 15 days played, 0 effort in raising it and only do things that I like doing. See a bunch that have more, but I just take that as they purposely try and raise it and I couldn't care any less.

Its a factor of a lot of things in my opinion. I have 2650 grim. I have most of the ghost on my own but, I cant lie I did you tube some. Then it helps with how versatile your weapon usage is. Each gun has 3 tiers the 2nd which allows all characters to gain more xp wgen whatever weapon. Same with enemies, also each guardian class has tiers for kills as that guardian and other guardians killed. Its a good indicator if someone has run the raid as well.
