12 year olds...
Ok so a lot of people think that we early teens/12s (I'm 13) are all screwed up. Let me clear things up.
First of all, just to get this out of the way (not that you believed it anyway), we don't have much drama of any kind. At my school, there is very little dating if any. Any dating that happens is very irrelevant and not a huge thing that matters. Sure, we all have our crushes, but there's not much going on.
Second, most of us don't cuss. Those few that do on Xbox Live are the ones whose parents aren't home. Trust me, if they cuss it's because their parents are gone and they think they can do whatever they want now.
Lastly, We hate being called squeakers. I know that I try not to talk around older people because for now I still have a kid voice. But, even if we don't show it, every time we are called a squeaker it (I can't really explain it well) just sorta hurts. I'm not sure why but it makes us feel puny and irrelevant to the older guys.
So I hope that this clears things up about us "Twelve year olds"

Edit: ok let me re-clear things up about cussing. Yes, occasionally we will cuss. But, (this excludes all the fine African American gentlemen in the eight grade) it is usually just to quote a vine or I funny post. We rarely legitimately cuss someone out.

If I hear someone who sounds young, it's whatever really - my sons play these games with me, so I think nothing of it. The part that annoys me (and of course it can apply to any age range) is maturity level. For example, I've had 1 (yes, just ONE) really bad fire team "memeber" on VoG. This particular squeaker (he deserves the title of Squeaker). Instantly started rambling & repeating something about a penis, then started repeating the "-blam!- her right in the p*ssy" thing (worst meme ever)... he got muted & booted. As long as someone doesn't act like that little bastard mentioned before, all is well, and welcome to stay on the team.

Here's the best advice for you. No one cares about why people are quitting the game (from other threads) and no one really likes hearing a justification for an age group. Everyone will be better off if they are competent enough to not become an a nuisance to others and let their game play speak for itself.

Pitch of voice and age have very little to do with maturity in on line gaming. I choose who I play with and how I treat people based on how they act. It is a pretty simple strategy.

1 AntwortenI don't mind the voice (or the cussing, I talk like a sailor), just don't talk my ear off. Listening is another thing that's preferred. If you can listen when it's needed, and know when to just... Not keep talking. Then I have no problems with you. Add me if you want to (and if you can) I'm on PS4 PSN is the same as my forums name

3 AntwortenThey're not all screwed up. I've rped with some who were pretty intelligent and mature, gamed with them too. Assuming someone is bad based on age is just ignorant. It's like saying all black people are bad because one happened to rob a store, or that all white people are bad because one got drunk and smacked an innocent with a chair.

I don't mind playing with you twelvie's as long as you don't try be funny or be anything you're obviously not (or not yet), but the second the immaturity starts spilling I need to get out of there. Like, I joined this kid party for VoG Hard without knowing it and this dude starts giggling because of the word 'penetrate'... cringed my teeth but couldn't handle the banter that ensued and got the hell out of there. However the best part of playing with twelvie's is definitely when your mom or older sibling's disturb you.
