I had xbox and xbox 360. Never had this bullshit problem. This will be the last playstation product I ever purchase
Edit: guys the problem here is not the system I get that. The real problem is psn was working this morning when I got home from work (about 6 am est). Played for a couple hours then tried getting back on with some friends around 1130am. Now it's down again. So they claimed to have had it fixed. It obviously was half assed and someone should be held accountable. I guess I should have stated this in the OP lol but its been kinda comical none the less with all these posts. When u get called back for an unfinished job at my workplace that looks bad on you and your evaluation will reflect that and eventual u will be fired. Are you all really that comfortable with the "engineers" that are trying amd obviously failing at repairing your gaming network?
Thanks for keeping me entertained.
Keep them coming.

4 AntwortenPlaystation works fine for me. Sucks to be you.

I have xb1 and fast internet. When the game first came out I had a lot of problems with the servers, but i haven't had problems in months works great now.

3 AntwortenWhy do people act like Xbox didn't have the same issues? ILL NEVER PART WITH MY PS.

Ive been a playstation only person my whole life. Had the original xbox but preferred my ps 2. Never played a 360 or an xbox one . But ever since servers went down i cant stay connected to any game for 10 minutes, not even psn itself. Not to mention sony servers have been constantly going on and off since christmas. Thinking about switching. But thatll be after my ps plus membership expires if the servers arent working for me still

2 AntwortenI am fortunate to own both PS4 and Xbone. I also owned both PS3 and xbox 360. I play PS when it's a game that's only on PS or one that has little or no online MP aspects. I play xbox when I want to play online or MP games. Sony has always had the technically superior console with a crappy rented network. Microsoft has invested billions on their network and server farms over the years. At this point Sony will never be able to invest the capital needed to catch up. So you shouldn't be surprised when you get an inferior online experience. That's why PSN was free for all these years, because Sony knew they were giving us garbage. If you can only afford one platform then it needs to be based on what type of gamer you are. Both have strengths and weaknesses. All this fan boy crap is juvenile.

3 AntwortenI just can't get used to the Xbox controller

I'm a gamer. I go where the games I like are at. So no I won't leave PlayStation. Especially not for an Xbox because I'm not interested in any of their games. I may get it if the next Gears is good though. Didn't like the way Epic was guiding the series. That said Sony better work on fixing their -blam!-ing network. It's rather annoying how long it takes to read msgs and add ppl. Other than that, I rather like my Ps4.

Bearbeitet von ericmatrix1: 12/29/2014 2:56:42 AMI am just done with all of the complaining. Stuff happens. Get over it. It will pass. A few days without games can do nothing but good.

I have been a xbox fan since day one but can say i prefer PS4 over the One. I have every counsol on both sides and still prefer the PS4 over the One. Take the xbox over PS any other time ...add alittle nintendo in there for the super smash bros lol
-
These things happen man, do something besides videogames for a couple days.

My PS3 never went down once the tower was so empty

8 AntwortenUnless PlayStation goes down for a month I won't be leaving, have always preferred PS to xbox, even when most were in xbox. Now with PS outselling 2 to 1 and better hardware, no question!

I really don't care if I can't play games for a few days, one of the few perks of being a mature adult is learning patience

14 AntwortenPS4 is highly overrated. Fact.

Your a idiot and need to got back to school if your blaming Sony.

Atleast youve been able to play, its been 4 days since I was able to sign into psn... be happy because somewhere in this workd there will always be someone that has it worse than you. I do however agree that this is getting out of hand, its a little annoying getting some cool new shiz for my console and not being able to use it
-
6 AntwortenIf PSN was still free to play online, I'd be fine with it. If I'm paying, the service should be improved from what it was. I'm giving it another year because I'm hoping it just takes time, but if I don't see changes, I probably won't renew my Plus subscription next year.
-
1 AntwortenShiz happens. Both systems were affected. XBox was affected by itself not long ago. I'm sure in the future one of the two systems will be affected again if not both. If you want to be protected against something like this happening, go buy both systems and then buy a nice Sega Dreamcast that you'll always be able to play in case both systems go down. Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast = hours of fun.

It doesn't really sound like you know anything about what goes into building, maintaining and fixing a world-wide network that has to interface with dozens of different, game-specific servers. So maybe don't try and pass judgement on people whose job it is to do things you don't understand?
-
8 AntwortenThe problem you state is actually why psn is better then xbl because of the huge down time a few years ago Sony decided to use smaller clustered servers rather then massive servers. What this results in is if there is a ddos attack some servers stay online while other go down. This allows for some people to still get on line even tho not everyone will. Sony's only weakness right now is that they need more servers to really out scale massive servers which will happen, it just takes time. The time it takes isn't because of a lack of desire to spend money it's because buisness politics don't allow them to spend all of the money they need to in one quarter. They have to show a profit for their investors, they are legally obligated too. The end result tho 5 years from now sony won't even flinch in a ddos while xbox will still go offline for half a day.

Go Xbox!!!!

2 AntwortenI don't understand why people have to announce these things.. it just turns out looking like "WAAAAAAAH NOTICE ME UGUUU" But have fun on xbox! :)

I feel like most of the people who are "done with Sony" are the people who came from xbox last gen. I, for one, would be glad to see them go back. Not to say all of the xbox users who came across are jerks. 95% of them are awesome, but that other 5% I could do without. In fact I'm pretty sure even xbox users wouldn't want them back either.
