Please enjoy your 30 second respawn and reflect on how garbage of a player you are.
EDIT: some severely dumb people are taking this post to mean I am complaining about players who run past low level public enemies at the start of a Strike. That is ridiculous and you should feel dumb-shame.
I take umbrage with Timmies who bolt all the way through spawning-restricted zones to get to the Boss, leaving myself and usually another player to do the heavy lifting. These garbage bags enjoy the 30 second respawn.

1 AntwortenWhat strikes can you run through? Earth ones have doors. Moon one after the ogre sure. Venus after the door. But stop to kill the hydras. It takes 10 seconds and prevents a wipe. Nexus? Not sure how you would live. Mars. Can you skip the tank?

5 AntwortenMy policy on strikes is the following: I'll go through the strike and kill all the adds for exp/engrams/glimmer or dare I say it... FUN!? if somebody in the team runs off ahead good for them, i'll see you at the boss I don't really care. but if they run off and WIPE to bring us all to the end quicker well that's where I whip out my secret weapon! I find a nice spot free of fire and I press down on my d-pad, I then go get a drink or browse the internet until I hear the boss die, I take my loot and I leave to find a new fireteam. tl;dr- if you force a wipe to bring me to the boss, you'll be shooting it without me.
-
One of the main reasons I do roc strikes is for glimmer so I'm killing as many enemies as possible, I've found usually the matchmaking puts me with AFK ppl, I've given up caring, more kills for me.
-
1 Antwortenlmao i hope you are in my fireteam on the nexus strike. i always bypass the servitor room and just sit on the cliff looking down into the nexus waiting for the fireteam to catch up
-
Yeah this bugs me too. Especially when the idiot then gets killed in the Darkness area and we all die because they suck. It's one thing if we're in Party or Strike Chat and you tell me you're skipping enemies. But I've yet to have a person that does this be in Strike Chat (to be fair I'm often in Party Chat). You know what else bugs me? People who decide they are going to snipe Phogath or the Nexus Mind from the previous room in a Roc Strike. Obviously you do this in a Nightfall, but not in a Roc or lower Playlist. That either marks you as a coward or you suck and know it.

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kage Goomba: 12/28/2014 3:30:48 PMYou know I'm gonna adopt a new policy.... if you ditch me and run ahead of me to do your little strike mission. Your revive privileges are revoked as far as I'm concerned... you can just sit there and rot. I don't give a rats ass as to why.... you don't ditch your teammates... that's just wrong. Oh sure I may get killed....but I will likely catch up to you and make a point of "Surviving" to rub it in your face. *This is aimed at the "run off and ditch crowd"...not OP*

I just done 5 in a row and everytime someone left or was afk

19 AntwortenI notice one of the arguments here is for marks so that they can get them faster. 17 Roc strikes makes the weekly cap. Less nightfall and weekly, so let's say 14 strikes. Same number for the next level. More for the lower levels. I have my strike marks maxed by Wednesday evening usually. Was done on Tuesday this week. Interesting thing about those using that excuse is that a substantial majority of them are also the same folks who whine about " store bought " weapons and especially armor, and at least two dozen are pissedvtgat 31 level gear can be bought. Bought with Marks. Only marks. I find it interesting since that is the only thing they can do with those marks, aside from buying mats that they obviously don't have the time to go and collect themselves. Which means that a large chunk of them are rushing through strikes to get the money to buy spin metal and relic iron and helium. These are the same folks who wuss out of the sepiks and omnigul and undying mind strikes, I note as well. Strikes which prove the point of killing everything which is the OP point. So you rush through 10 to 15 strikes, at 10 minutes apiece to gather materials to upgrade your raid weapons and armor, and you think that we who complete the strike are wasting your time. That is an exceedingly self important, narcissistic, puerile act that does not serve the actual idea: You don't always get to pick who you fight with. Those strangers are part of the team, no more and no less important than you. Speed running is not a team activity. It is the act of selfish people who don't understand the pint of a game made for folks who are not hardcore gamers just like them. Given the related thinking that fills this forum, it explains much.

5 AntwortenIf I get ahead of you and bairly take a hit....doesn't that mean im way better then you?
-
Heavy lifting killing things you dont have to kill? What?
-
I know I hate it when someone just runs ahead and leaves me and the other guy to kill everyone. But when they die I go dance by their ghost.
-
2 AntwortenI like speed runs, then die at the boss, it forces all you slow players to catch up
-
11 AntwortenPlease enjoy me wiping on purpose so you can actually join the fight. If it's something that can be ran through, over or around, you aren't doing any heavy lifting...you're just farming enemies for kills/xp/green engrams. You wanna farm enemies for any of those three, stay out of strikes and go on patrol.
-
2 AntwortenIf you ended up on a strike team and i got ahead of you, i would an hero to have you catch up
-
1 Antwortenthen keep the -blam!- up man i never die on ROC strikes i trip and then self-revive and kill the boss while your pussy footing around with grunts
-
12 AntwortenIf the entire team does it you can half the time the strike takes. Its crucial to do this when running exotic bounties like Bad Juju. The nexus for example, takes five minutes if you kill the servitors and run straight to the boss, while if you fight all the enemies it takes up to fifteen minutes. This forum post is unbacked and invalid. There is no reason not to skip the enemies and no one is forcing you to fight them that's entirely on you. Sincerely, Someone who is tired of people complaining for no reason
-
1 AntwortenI only do the objective clearly stated on the left side of the HUD. If it says kill 3 servitors thats what i will do. Nowhere does it say waste time killing everything in the room and the next three rooms. It says find/kill guy x. So thats what i do every time. The enemies in between are just obsticles in my way. So i hurdle them and run straight for the gold medal.
-
Heaving lifting? Lol We are limited to the amount of strikes we have on this game. I'm pretty sure by now (doesn't apply to new players) the only reason we play strikes is for the 1 in a million chance of an exotic, vanguards marks etc. ergo speed running strikes. Don't get me wrong I enjoy this game but mainly for the reset and a few days after. After that there isn't much to do! The thing I hate are the douche bags who play strikes afk or afc as it may be. Bro tip. Spam them with invites until they join your fire team. Then boot member from fire team. = hours of enjoyment

If you can't speed run every strike by now your a scrub.

4 AntwortenThere are arguments for both sides. Me, my opinion is it doesn't take much longer to kill EVERYTHING. And when u do u have a much better chance at getting around +2 average blue engrams. Which help a lot when you think about it... I have completed every strike including omnigul with killing everything, AND doing it in an average of ten minutes. If you can't do that with randoms then you should get better at the game. I was with a couple of random 31s last night and we killed all in Valus Ta'aruc, and made it in like 13. Then they stayed for round two and we still killed all. I believe they were some of the rare ones that give a Damn about massive annihilation of all adds and see a benefit of keeping your skills warm. You do know that precision kills render more engrams right? What better way to get a bunch in a row than taking out all the smaller guys? For anyone who has farmed a lot they also know that around every 1000 kills you get a legendary. So again...u should want to kill everything. I'm at 1000 hours logged in this game and have done the same strikes till my eyes bleed. Anyone who just wants to run through is not only impatient, but also doesn't care about being the best, they just care about being the fastest, which is their own silly interpretation of the "best".
-
This is why clans are so great. Not only do you have a group to bs with between/during strikes but you can agree what speed to run them at. I've never run into this problem before.
-
Eh I always kill everything. I don't really care that people run ahead. I'm fast enough that I always catch up before they kill the boss. But people who do shit like this, running ahead, going AFK, doing other shit than the mission, are the reason there will never be MM for raids.
-
How can this be a problem to people but yet cheesing/glitching Crota to get rewards is fine?
-
Get over yourself
-
I find it highly amusing that almost every positive reply is backed by someone under 31 or they're 31 in all mark gear. OP, you're 31 with Crota beaten and I'd bet my left nut you cheese the entire raid and skip to Crota after bridge. The hypocrisy!
