Based on the PS4 trophies
84.2% have not completed a raid.
of the 15.8% that have only 3.4% did it with a full clan team.
Which means 12.4% did the raid using random groups anyway.
These statistics alone prove match making or looking for group should be in the game for raids.

Bearbeitet von Envision86: 12/18/2014 7:58:25 PMBesides the auto matchmaking that Bungie may or may not incorporate into destiny, it is so friggin easy to find groups to play with if people would only look. I'm sorry, but it's easy to find a team to do the raid, so while I'm not opposed to matchmaking, I'm floored by people being lazy about trying to find a group on their own. This is not a knock against you, just from all the posts I've seen about this topic. It seems people don't want to do any work themselves to find groups to play with.

Bump! We need matchmaking!!!!

1 AntwortenKeep in mind that so many people bought this game that the 16.8% is actually a rather large amount of people.

7 AntwortenI'm not even really trying very hard to beat Crota's End. The motivation isn't there. I've played MMO's for over fifteen years. I understand the levels and amounts of mobs in the Raid, I do. Not only does it marginally increase the challenge, but it's also a nice cover-up for a development team that lacks severely in the creativity department. Can't think of any unique puzzles or problems beyond what was introduced in the Vault of Glass? Throw endless mobs at the PC's to make it "harder". The reason my and my mates haven't finished the Raid, is there is no desire to do so. To put this in the most simple terms, the raid just isn't fun. In any way. It's boring, a slog-fest of mobs in lieu of any real puzzles or problems to figure out. While the visuals are nice, there's nothing really challenging in endless waves of mobs with bullet-sponge bosses that are so absorbent as to make a person roll their eyes at the lack of creativity of it all. There's not even any new types of enemies to battle. The Sword Bearers are nothing more than Knights, health jacked up on steroids and Angel Dust, with a color change to their chitin exoskeletons. The lack of creativity in the challenges and enemies just saps any desire to actually try. In short, while we have the ability in our Clan to easily pass the Raid, there's no desire to because Bungie left out the most important part of the formula for the Raid. The fun just isn't there.

One word . . . Matchmaking
-
87.6% of all statistics are made up on the spot. And only .086% will be able to verify said statistic at the moment it is presented as fact.

35 AntwortenThe only thing that this proves is that the majority of people who play this game are too lazy to try to get a fireteam together. There are plenty of ways to gather a team to do the raid and most people are too lazy to use them. In the time it takes people to post on here bitching about the lack of matchmaking for the raid they could have posted on here, LFG or any of the many other sites that help people to get together. I for one will NEVER run a raid with randoms unless I know they are mic'd up and ready to work with the team. Can you imagine the frustration of getting matchmade with a group of people where two or three of them have no mics?? Raid matchmaking? NO! The end!
-
1 AntwortenIn my case is due to the lack of mactchmaking, and I think it's the same for so much people. Looking for strangers in a forum is the same as matchmaking but more tedious and more time consuming.

Unless people stopped playing prior to the raid because they dislike the game...

Phantasy Star Online, a shared-world shooter to which Destiny owes many remarkable resemblances, had text/image chat at launch. That was in 2001 (2000 for Japan). As Juggler6987 said below, a social game needs social tools. The implementation of fireteam-channel chat in the Tower is a good start. I really hope people are using it. But something like this should have been there since Day 1.

Just cause people didn't raid with a clan doesn't mean they did it with a random group most people I know don't care to take the time to make one on bungie and would rather just invite Friends and go from there
-
Totally agree dude it just goes to show the bollocks bungie talk about the raids only getting done by clans and teams is just that. bollocks! When only one in every 5 completions is a clan it's about time they sorted it out
-
THEY NEED TO SETUP RAIDS LIKE THEY SETUP STRIKES ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT
-
Sounds more like Playstation friend problems.

8 AntwortenMatchmaking would be shit. You get matched up with a noob that doesn't know what the hell he's doing, doesn't have a mic, and is there just to troll. You can't do anything because you can't kick the person? How do you solve those problems? You can't, I'm pretty sure bungie has thought of this idea.

Bearbeitet von Juggler: 12/15/2014 11:43:57 PMThey can make it optional like any other game out there... how hard is that really. For example... >>Open<<...>>Closed<< much like selecting the difficulty of a Mission. Just a little drop down tab with options is all that is needed. Matchmaking is exactly what most people need to finish a raid... since most people most likely do not have enough friends on hand to run one with. Friends will be made, some will get frustrated and quit. A social game needs social tools.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von EA9Sol: 12/15/2014 11:34:11 PM:/ It is a shame there is no match making. Hell even a a text chat box in the tower to chat with people on the Tower. It sometime feels like I'm just playing a signal player game that just happens to have an online feature. I would love to help people with raids, missions or strike but there way of telling who needs what or what they want to do. Last time I excepted a random invite it was for a fire team who wanted to the Glass Vault and lets just say it went horribly wrong. >.< I want to enjoy the game with others and not have to look for others outside the game. >.> Plus I want to be able to chat with others without joining a fire team. Like having a a forum chat in-game or something. I need to communicate to others on the Tower!

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von boyjosha: 12/16/2014 12:16:08 AMThere's no way I'd want to do the raid with match made players.. Not in a bad way it's just, maybe the person doesn't have a mike? Or is really letting the team down or causing trouble? You can't boot other players if this happens.

Ps4 players are so casual....kappa

2 AntwortenI NEVER want matchmaking because griping ignorant obnoxious 8 year olds who are level 28 trying to get a mythoclast from VOG on hard... That's why... Along with people who have a potato with room feedback so we can hear there mother huffing and puffing her way up the stairs to beat there ass for no apparent reason. As well as no mic and no former knowledge either of those are bad, the combination is worse. I believe a simple chat box would be great with private, clan and local settings along with channels you can create.
-
8 AntwortenThe raids are based on communication and coordination. You add matchmaking for them and you'll get terrible people without mics looking for a free ride.
-
You stats suggest that 84% aren't playing anymore....
-
1 AntwortenYes sir absolutely i despise thoroughly the fact we cant matchmake
-
Shouldn't have an achievement for an stuff regardless :p

1 AntwortenI would like to have a subtitle to my emblem. Somehow like a status or tag line which I could change in whatever mood I am and which people could see when they inspect me. For example: "raid noob LFG", or "playing solo/busy today, don't invite" That way I would only get relevant messages, or could contact people that want to do the same without spamming them.
