We've beaten Crota twice this week.
My group and I have beaten Crota twice this week. We plan on doing our third run tomorrow. I already have 3 pieces of raid gear and a new exotic, waiting to be maxed out. Just need those damn radiant shards to get to level 32 :/. I have gotten two raid weapons, the Light of the Abyss (fusion rifle) and the Black Hammer (sniper). If anyone has any questions or would like some advice, feel free to ask. Oh and, hunters > everything.

EDIT: For those of you who are having trouble, consistency and timing are the two big factors on taking Crota down. You have to be able to drop him twice with one sword atleast 1-2 times for optimal damage. I have been running the sword everytime we've bested Crota (5 times). The combo that works for me the best with the sword is R1 R1 R2, R1 R1 R2 assuming you get there with enough time. If not, shorten the second combo to R1 R2 or even just one R2. It all depends on the timing. And make sure you have dedicated knight killers for the side that the sword will be running to Crota from!

I've beaten it many more times. Just cause you beat it twice doesn't mean shit. You prob got carried every damn game. But nice try sounding like your good.

Hunter is king, 4 shot golden gun melts Croats shield as long as you have 1 lvl 31 of the rest of the team are gunslingers it is a piece of cake

What console are you on? I beat it once yesterday with my normal raid group no problem with the 4 man in middle hall one on top sniping strategy no problem, but with other people who arent as good (still 4 31s out of the 6) were getting wrecked
