Quit while I still can.

I would put a story in the game and more content, new content not missions that were on the disc. I wouldn't charge $20 for $5 worth of content.

Weapon/armor design. You can build your own weapon at expensive costs... Ascendant materials, glimmer, your choice of destination materials (relic iron, spinmetal, etc.) weapon parts, class armor parts, and if you want an elemental damage type, you need like 30 motes of light, pick your upgrades and perks.. I'd enjoy it.

1 AntwortenAll of these changes. Basically, I'd go out of my way to set in motion a complete overhaul of gear and the motes of light systems. I'd introduce an upgrade system that allowed the bringing up of common gear all the way up to legendary gear through motes, as well as using motes to modify abilities based on a categorical list of options. And that's only a small bit of would I'd try to get done. If you're interested, feel free to read the link at the top.

I take a gun in and shoot everyone at bungie to end all of this.

I nerf everything but a common scout rifle, and buff all of its stats to max. I.e stability

Focus on the public gameplay. It's the one thing Destiny's really got. * OP boss enemies in each area that aren't part of a quest / event / etc * surges of enemies should continue until guardians kill the area boss, who can drop good loot * add more public event types: sparrow races, kill competitions, treasure hunts * more decorative consumables... fireworks, smoke signals, etc, for goofing off or indicating treasure chests etc to other players in the field * have guardians' ships do a flyover of the map when dropping / picking up a player outdoors * make the Last City a publicly accessible area so guardians can have some connection with the place they're supposedly defending by assassinating the same enemy leaders over and over again * have enemies that are actually attacking the city and guardians guarding it, instead of constantly parading around the system assassinating everybody's leaders and getting away with no repercussions (I know you've gotta blow the horn for US foreign policy but reality is making for a really lousy story here)

I shut down the forums. :D

easy the staff, let them re apply for jobs, the new terms would allow bungie to change pay at any time and switch currency any time, in fact it would turn the jobs into an endless grind that gave less rewards to no matter how hard they tried.

Clean up the mess and redesign.
-
Announce a free expansion so Destiny doesn't loose half its player base.

It's sad cus Bungie will be what they've always been: A maker of mindless alien slaughtering shooters, but it's for a noble cause! The day Bungie makes a game where you have all the content players expected a next gen game to be ABLE to do, is the day someone who's not a complete delusional twat becomes the main Dev of Bungie. These days with what the new consoles can do, people expect a lot more, they hype a lot more as well, it was fine to make a shooter 10 years ago where you shot aliens to death because "wow humanity". It was something relatively new and something people wanted from a game. But now, people expect there to be more than JUST going up to aliens and shooting them in the face. No amount of pretty graphics and smooth gun mechanics will help you. They've stuck to the same formula they have for Halo ce, there's literally no difference apart from graphics and performance. The Aliens still stand there idly waiting to get shot. They have slow ass bullets that can be easily dodged, they barely ever take cover, and when they do pop out of cover, they wait about 5 seconds for you to shoot them in the mouth. This may be a game but there's no excuse for the bullshit logic of the game: "space magic" Instead of making a believable universe with semi believable reasons and things in it. They just go really vague because they aren't creative whatsoever. They've got the people who can design pretty guns and whatnot. That's all that's needed for them. With their latest game they don't explain anything atall. The Descriptions they tag onto weapons and armour don't even say anything about that particular weapon or armour, they might as well be quoting things from a bible or joke book. They don't explain anything about anything in the story. "who are we?" "how the -blam!- do sparrows work?" "the -blam!- even IS the traveller?" "how do my supers work???" Space magic. That's all you need to know. Now -blam!- off and go shoot 20 aliens for an XP reward. If Bungie don't get a change of management.. they won't exactly flop, but their reputation as a great games making company will go through the floor in no time, they'll be something akin to EA. I won't be surprised if they copy paste all the assets from Destiny 1 to Destiny 2 and give some bullshit excuse as to why there's no differences. They might make a couple of gameplay mechanics like a new vehicle or new feature to combat, but those will just be gimmicks to make people think they HAVE differences in the next game. TL;DR: Bungie are the next EA

1 AntwortenBegin work on moving away from the Light/Gear system.

Get rid of the wacko rng elitism. Make everything on a steady and accessible progression. Bungie, need to tell ya, some of your lead designers are absolute weirdos who are copying the worst of vanilla WoW.

Bearbeitet von V TheDeciever: 12/9/2014 6:13:08 AMMake myself design lead for the year, so I have some actual time to do things. Surround myself with people who actually know what they are talking about (cuz I know nothing about game design) take the ideas from the players, find out what is possible. Of the possible things find out what can be done without screwing up gameplay (severe op-ness, major exploits, etc) What would I want off the top of my head? About twice as many story missions Action mode d-pad to quick select weapons and ammo synth Proxy chat Make joining a fire team (when not in orbit) more seamless optional matchmaking for all game types Optional solo for the strike playlists and regular strikes More pvp maps, map types, game modes, and make it much more customizable including private matches Permanent IB mode (events would still only be occasional, but the game mode would always be there) Edit: also implement a skill based reward system on top of the rng system. Edit 2 also I would love to make the pve world a massive possible pvp map. Just turn on pvp mode and people who also have that mode on can fight in the pve world. This stems from another idea I had where the guardians had a split and half went evil and the player got to choose, etc etc.

Make it not rng.

Little, subtle things that I'd like that I'd think most would like, such as 1. The dev's control Xur's inventory, making it so he goes through all the items before any repeats 2. Add reforging to the gunsmith.
