Will Black Hammer dethrone Icebreaker?

Its impact is notably higher then Icebreakers (32 while Icebreaker's is 25) and it has the new perk "White Nail" with the effect "Rapidly landing three precison shots will refill the magazine."
This means that even though you only have 3 shots in the mag, it is functionally infinite once you are landing only precision shots. The dps this will have on bosses is crazy.
I think people are going to be praying for this drop and it will be a "must have". Especially since it frees up your exotic spot. THe only thing Icebreaker has on it is that it's much more forgiving and you don't need to land precisions.

It's already destroyed icebreaker. I use it all the time. Lets me use gally or red death

Situational. BH: Bosses with easy crits die extremely fast. ( Walker, Sepkis, Nexus, Archon Priest, Goliath Tank, Templar, Atheon.) IB: Better if you aren't able to get 3 crits on a boss. Overall, IB is an all around weapon. Black Hammer is a boss killer.

Until you know HoW when it's damage will remain at 331, while IB will have an upgrade.

BH is AMAZEBALLS on fallen devil walkers. Bang those legs and take it down so quick. All without reloading/losing ammo.

Already happened the first day Black hammer dropped. Black hammer is the better weapon unless you suck at precision shots.

I haven't touched my ice breaker since black hammer was placed in my hands. Unlimited ammo if your not horrible at aiming. Scrubs you all are if you think icebreaker is better.

Choose one to keep forever with every DLC that drops, I bet 100% keep ice breaker and leave black hammer behind

BlackHammer is the better boss killer for the bosses that don't move much. For general use, icebreaker is the better general use rifle

4 Antwortenit will never dethrone icebreaker while you scope in on enemies from 688864336 miles away and they somehow know to move... making it impossible for three headshots. of course after the first shot they can, but not while just scoping. its dumb.

This post is old, but how I see the BH and IB discussion is that Black Hammer is more for bosses (e.g. Sepiks Prime, The Nexus, Archon, Phogoth) and Ice Breaker is more for everything else, since even if you miss you'll get the ammo back.
