PETITION: Bungie, reconsider removing exotic gear wipe upon expansion
With the new article on GameInformer Bungie has revealed their plan for our Exotic weapons. They plan on making it so if you want to level your Exotic weapons and gear up to the new level you have to completely wipe out ALL progress on the gear, require 7,000 glimmer, an exotic shard, and Xur's RNG system. Now I don't know about you guys but this is completely and totally unacceptable. I have spent several days playtime leveling up my gear and weapons and being forced to level them all up again is just insane and I refuse. I would absolutely rather look for another gaming experience and quit Destiny than be forced to go through all my hard earned progress again. Now you may or may not agree with that part, but surely many of you agree that having to start all over on your weapons and armor is just stupid. Please show your support and tell Bungie that we do not agree and we would like if they changed or removed this system.

If you want an honest discussion that includes a poll, don't slant the data and choices. You should have just posted another thread complaining about the changes. In fact, you really should have just commented in another person's thread without trying to create a poll in hopes of gaining Bungie's attention and creating another redundant thread. They already know, and they've already stated they don't like petitions. -1 for poor concealed attempt to propagate your opinion onto others. Even if I do agree with parts of what you say.

Omg dude read something!!!! The reset will take less materials and glimmer and shit, AND your gear will start with 302 damage.

42 AntwortenOMGGGGG..... I read these forums constantly and it's become nothing but whiner's! I work 50 hours a week. Full time job, am married and have ton's of real life responsibilities and have 2 30's. I also, am not complaining about this update. YOUR EXOTICS WILL NOT RESET TO 257 for christs sake! It's just resetting the tree and your base will start at 300. Guaranteed. That's the same damage you have fully upgraded. It's really not a big deal and for me to keep my Mythoclast and Thorn up to snuff is totally worth it. Everyone acts like its just resetting you back to where you started and you'll have to put in more damage buffs than before. That's not true. You will have the same amount of damage upgrades as you did the first time you leveled it but the difference is your base will start at 300. I'm so sick of seeing people complain about EVERYTHING but still continue to play the game. They could have just said " Hey everyone! the new exotics are better than your Gjallahorn so that weapon is screwed. Good luck getting the new ones! " They didn't do that though and are giving us the opportunity to keep our exotics relevant. They don't want you to be able to have an exotic and get it completely leveled in a couple of hours though. That's what would happen if they just added 2 or 3 damage upgrades. They want you to work to get a max weapon for the new DLC. I don't see the problem. I don't think it will take that long to relevel my gear and thats coming from someone who can't spend all day everyday playing and have 2 30's. This generation has a serious problem with entitlement and wanting ISTANT gratification over working towards a great future end result. THat's why this game get's hated on by the CoD players and new kids coming up. It's too much of a grind for the Instant Gratification kids. GROW UP. That is all Guardians...

3 AntwortenMany are complaining about the time it will take to re-level exotics. No no no no no. I've spent hours upgrading my exotics but doing that again is NOT MY COMPLAINT! The problem is that our effort has literally been deleted because you do not need to have levelled the gun in order to evolve it to the next level. If you needed your gun to be fully levelled before you could upgrade it i would actually be excited for this as the added power would mean we could finish the strikes faster They have done it this way so that new players can immediately catch up with those further in the game. I have a couple of un-levelled exotics (bad juju, last word, truth, and that crappy bounty machine gun) and I'm glad I never spent the time to level them! This is not right This is what we need to complain about: Bungie need to make it so that a weapon has to be fully upgraded before we can increase the level like this, or let us purchase an additional node to upgrade at the end of our current upgrade tree

I think its players like me that will be unaffected by this because I cant play often enough to have a shed load of exotics. So by the time I can actually afford them the new system will kick in. I think there are too many people who grind the game because they must have all of everything NOW which isn't how its meant to be if you really want to enjoy the game.

5 AntwortenNow that we can essentially buy materials I don't see how this is a problem.. in one day I can fully upgrade a single exotic. There are only like 4 exotics even worth using right now so that's 4 days to catch up. That's not a lot.

I welcome the idea to get a stronger weapon. I think you should go read the weekly bungie update. On paper, the idea sounds awesome. Your weapon I think starts at 302? I think it was around there. Making it much stronger. Deej also said that you will require less xp to level the nodes. It is in fact optional. A level 30 with the current weapon system will still be a force to be reckoned with, given they are skilled. More raid gear drops Factions sell stronger guns Xur will sell more than one type of exotic upgrade at a time, multiple in fact. You keep your exotics relevant. Let's be realistic here, it takes a few hours to reach a really high node, by that time your weapon would have already surpassed previous capabilities. Bounties, nightfall, telemtries. No need to cry before the dlc drops, save your tears until after. You're being like the boy who cried complaints.

11 Antworteni have 18 exotics LMFAO@BUNGIE i really enjoy this game and i have really enjoyed leveling up most of those exotics( armor and weapons ) to their maximum potential hawkmoon mida tool truth gjallahorn hardlight also i have maximized all available exotic gear for my titan . so am i supposed to now spend another 2 months leveling those weapons and armor up AGAIN so that in another 2 months i have to have them reset and upgraded AGAIN for the house of wolves expansion ? how many times next year am i gonna have to upgrade my hawkmoon for 7 strange coins and 7000 glimmer ??? and for the exotics that i have not even started on ( which it now seems i wont have the time to do because i am working on resetting and re-upgrading my choice few ) i have to pay xur 7000 and 7 strange coins plus a week of my time for each one ??? [u]REALLY ?[/u]

This game contains MMo-stuff, so yes, when an addon is released, you have to -blam!-in farm again. They even shrinked down the XP needed for the upgrades. Anyway, exotics are the best weapons in Destiny, so work for having it max´d out, whiners.

Stfu...All your weapons are maxed by now. Xur gonna sell 1 upgrade per week. That's 1 exotic per week. Can you not -blam!-ing get 7k glimmer and do maybe 20 bounties to max it out again. And your weapon resets to 300 not 273. So your batching is pointless

You [b][i]could[/i][/b] use the new legendaries. You [b][i]could[/i][/b] go play a game that doesn't revolve around upgrading to all new gear at each tier. Or you could come to the forums and complain that you are being given the [b][i]option[/i][/b] to upgrade your favorite exotics.

3 AntwortenI feel that they shouldnt even let you reset your gear. Gjallorhorn will be outclassed with the 300 max atk, heart of praxic fire will never get you to 32. /sarcasm. Thats how most game would do it so why is everyone bitching about a few more hours to keep all your exotics relevant
