PETITION: Bungie, reconsider removing exotic gear wipe upon expansion
With the new article on GameInformer Bungie has revealed their plan for our Exotic weapons. They plan on making it so if you want to level your Exotic weapons and gear up to the new level you have to completely wipe out ALL progress on the gear, require 7,000 glimmer, an exotic shard, and Xur's RNG system. Now I don't know about you guys but this is completely and totally unacceptable. I have spent several days playtime leveling up my gear and weapons and being forced to level them all up again is just insane and I refuse. I would absolutely rather look for another gaming experience and quit Destiny than be forced to go through all my hard earned progress again. Now you may or may not agree with that part, but surely many of you agree that having to start all over on your weapons and armor is just stupid. Please show your support and tell Bungie that we do not agree and we would like if they changed or removed this system.

Does it really matter? Do bounties with the weapon equipped. Maxes out vex in 3days including exp from strikes/crucible.

8 AntwortenI didn't agree with this at first, but im coming around to the idea, now hear me out before slating, bare in mind they are going to be reducing the time in which it takes to level exotics up, they have also removed the need for farming materials aswell, as they can be bought in the tower, whats more at the end of it your gonna have exotics that are not limited to a rather low 300 attack each time. That is just my opinion, im not gonna worry about it too much, I think a much bigger deal has been made of this than needed. As long as they have reduced the time it takes to max the exotic out by a considerable amount then yeah fair enough, maybe 10-15 bounties should be enough to max an exotic, or farming strikes for an hour or 2 to max one out would be fair enough, I don't mind doing that. Besides lets be honest, is the new raid, 2 strikes and few story missions REALLY going to keep us busy until January hard strike gets released and then again until February with the House Of Wolves DLC? I don't think so.

The wording on this post is very deceiving. There's no exotic weapon wipe. If you want to upgrade your exotics you have to re-level them. This is optional. There's no forced wipe. I personally am looking forward to this feature.

2 AntwortenI don't care about the releveling, but it doesn't make sense that we would have to trade in an exotic shard and glimmer to relevel them, I mean, why not just buy the new version of the weapon/armor with strange coins directly from xur, especially if we have to wait until xur carries the damn things to begin with.

You should probably edit your post to include all the information. Upgrading exotics will reset all the ranks, yes, but they start off with base stats [i]higher[/i] than a maxed un-upgraded exotic. They also require less experience to rank up again, so a handful of bounties will probably be able to get the special perks unlocked sooner. Before, I was pretty annoyed at how they did it because they only gave us partial information. Once they finally announced the full mechanics of it, I wasn't so bothered by it. It's just a case of poor communication from Bungie, which is something they really need to work on, but the change is a good one in the long term.

2 AntwortenI don't understand why this is a problem to people. By resetting the progress you get more defense/damage right away. Ya it's only a difference of 2 damage for weapons but they'll get up to 323 damage and I'd say that's worth it.
