You know, I really don't mind that upgrading existing exotics requires waiting for xur and an exotic shard. What I do mind is being required to level the entire weapon up again, losing all that xp, time, glimmer and all the old shards, energy and mats. The mats I just bought. All that. Useless. They update the system and then wait days to tell us to not use any of them just yet?
Way to go on failing your entire userbase in one fell swoop.

1 AntwortenI want my 35$ back as this was not part of the vision I was promised. If I had known about this I would have stopped with Destiny so much earlier.
-
VS not being able to upgrade it and have to level an entirely new gun?
-
Haha guardians with no weapons!!!!

Bump for callin' out the bullshit.

I do agree with you that the communications failed in this. People need to be prepared for such changes. I invested a lot of shards and energy, which I could all have saved, because it was utterly useless to waste them.
-
6 AntwortenThey only failed to the cry baby complainers on here. It takes a few days tax the most to max a exotic. Not the end of the world children
-
Just because you do not like it does not make it a fail at all. Tough if your too lazy to do it over again for a challenge once more and just want easy play all the time.

6 AntwortenEveryone who agrees with the op is stupid

2 Antwortenand guess what, you'll have to do the same thing with every update from here on out if they leave it like this. no way in heck will i re-level the same gun every 3 months

22 AntwortenYou are not getting your wife a boob job. You're divorcing her and she's taking countless hours of your life and money with her BUT... In exchange you're hooking up with the new college girl next door that takes it in the back door. Simpler now?
-
18 AntwortenI don't mind the new system Lots of people don't mind so please don't say entire user base.

9 AntwortenIn MMO type games, you level your Avatar to be able to get better items. When an expansion comes out, you level yourself up(using time and materials), you raid(using time and materials, and 20-30 people) to get the item you want and then you simply destroy the old item. Here you are given an option to upgrade an item you already have, rather than destroy it. You grind to get the item to where it is(originally), and again to get it back up on the new item. It's the same as going from level 50 to level 60, and then getting level 60 items. You had to work to get those level 50 items, and now you have to work to get those level 60 items. In Destiny it's not so drastic. You don't have to go out and "Get" new items, or grind new levels to get it...you already have it. You just need to put in a little time to upgrade it to the standard of the new weapons of the expansion....and you don't even have to do that if you don't want to.

9 AntwortenDoes everyone have the brain of a 4 year old on here? Your exotics reset at a higher attack value, in 3/4 upgrades you'll be passing 300. What's there to complain about? You'll have a stronger weapon in a few hours guaranteed if you do bounties from Eris and others? You all moan and moan and cry about this game but I don't see ANY of you leaving or selling this game.

Stop complaining.
-
4 AntwortenThat's the best part! You don't have to. Leave them be don't upgrade them. They will be 300 attack just like now. Nobody's forcing you to upgrade. If you do however you keep your 300 attack value and that gun you loved gets even better. I have a vex... Even though it's DMG rating is 323 I totally prefer the 300 VOC. I've taken new guns into hard vog slightly leveled and done just fine. I honestly don't think the difference between 300 and 323 is going to hurt you if you don't choose to upgrade. People are blowing this way out of proportion for real.

1 AntwortenBest part is? A third party had to tell us. GAME informer. Bungie wasn't planning on telling us until the DLC actually launched and people had spent even more shards already
-
I think a good compromise would be to have maxed out exotics cost no exotic shard for Xur to upgrade, but still have to re level with experience points. I hope you are reading this, Bungie.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von DamUstr8BabyGurl: 12/4/2014 9:15:30 PMI think you're all assholes for overreacting this bad it's not like itl take that long to relevel up your exotics

From Gassdoor.com, a site for employees to review & rate their employers (apparently this is the description for the entire company): Website www.bungie.net Headquarters Bellevue, WA Size 1 to 5 Employees Founded 1991 Type Company - Private Industry Arts, Entertainment & Recreation Revenue Less than $1 million (USD) per year We were duped by less than half a dozen assholes. Makes sense considering how limited the content is..

To be honest I probably won't upgrade any of my exotics. I am more interested in getting the new exotics, and I will spend my time leveling them up. Don't waste time on the old, move to the new.
-
6 AntwortenI sort of agree? I don't think it warrants the bitching that people are throwing out there, as releveling exotics actually gives us something to do, long-term, and now that materials are so easy to come by, as well as exotic shards, it's not a problem. However, I think that giving us this option to scale our weapons is stupid given that we don't really have that much time to gain any advantage with our new attack power in the time that we're waiting for hard mode to be released (January).
-
So are you mad about the new way to level up the exotics or are you mad that Bungie didn't tell anyone for 3 days after they changed everything? One I understand, the other I could care less about.
-
Ain't it fun?

I'm shamelessly pluggin this because I think we need to rally regarding Bungie communication: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/82295654/0/0/1 It was on the forth page under Latest the second it was posted. Show support if you agree, thanks.
