The 4th Horseman and Other Exclusives: The Effect
For those of you that dont know by now, in addition to the exclusive strike given to psn players from the dlc, they also get a new exclusive exotic weapon.
[b]First, let me make this clear[/b]
I am not here to complain about exclusives and that its not fair (being an xbox 360 owner) that we dont have access to these. I accept the fact the we dont have them and really dont care much. What I do care about is [b]the principle behind charging equal prices for the dlc but for less content[/b].
Now again, im not here to complain about the exclusives, as I, as well as almost every other xbox player, will be getting the dlc because I love the game. The point im trying to make is that in the future, when Destiny 2 comes out, and other games similar to it from other developers, [b]I will remember this action done by bungie[/b], charging equal prices for less content.
[b]Bungie, you will get my money now for the dlc, but let it be heard that when you get competition for MMORPGs on console systems, I will not choose you again[/b]
EDIT 1: Since people cant read and think this is a typical "whine about exclusives" thread, its not. I dont care about yhe exclusives because thats existed for a while now between consoles. What I care about is the [b]PRINCIPLE[/b] that we pay the same money for dlc but playstation users get more, and as a result, I will not be a customer for Bungie's future games.
And sure, we'll get it too, but in a year?!? Who the hell wants a gun a year from its release date? Theres guarenteed to be new and better weapons by then...

Hey I'm a little mad about getting less for my money but Sony is screwing themselves. Microsoft is going to make more money then ever. They bought Mojang... Tons of little kids play minecraft. I would not be surprised if Xbox maybe buys a whole DLC for themselves only. They are going to make more money off Halo and Tomb Raider. If destiny get more popular they are going to expand their horizons there as well. It's only a matter of time.

But you ARE getting the same content. Just not right now. You will eventually be able to do the strike and get the weapon. Its not exclusive to PS forever, just for a time. Are you trting to say they should attempt to figure out what the timed content would cost, charge xbox user that mucb less, then when the content is unlocked charge you for it? Thats not going to happen. Both PS and Xbox are paying for the same content now, PS gets it first, you get it later. Why is that such a big deal?

Omfg... For the last goddamn time, it isn't Bungie's call to make things exclusive, it's [i][b]Activision[/b][/i]. Activision offered exclusives to the highest bidder and Sony paid the most.

Sony pitched in some money to Bungie and said hey Bungie we want you to make some additional things for the PS players heres some money to cover your cost of giving them this exclusive stuff for 1 year. So PS players pay $20 for same DLC items that Xbox pays $20 bucks for but then Sony chips in $5 bucks making the total amount Bungie is receiving for PS players DLC $25. In reality PS players should be complaining because Bungie gets $25 for DLC from Sony players but after the exclusive timeframe is up Xbox gets those same items for only $20. Now if you cant understand why your post is dumb then there is no hope for you........

You say, that you don't complain about but you complain about... Xbox users don't get less content for their money. Sony paid for the right to get A BIT MORE. If that contract between bungie/Activision and Sony wouldn't exist, we all would get the same 2 strikes and... No more energy for such discussions. If that stuff is sooo important for you then buy a ps4.

We are not getting shafted. PS PAID for the extra content to be created, specifically so they could have an edge of MS for marketing. Im sure, had they wanted to, MS could have bought some extra content for us as well, but that didn't happen. It is what it is. Am I disappointed that I cannot own that badass shotgun? Yes. Quite. Do I feel like Im being cheated? Not so much. Besides RNG being what it is, I doubt I would ever see it anyway.

You get your precious gear next year. You're paying for the same stuff, just at a later date. It won't even be noticeable. Once you get it, us PS Users will be burnt out. So if anything they're prolonging the game for you. Look at it positively.

It's bullshit and Bungie knows it, they won't even acknowledge the exclusive strike in their advertising. Put the freaking trailer in game for Xbox huh, why don't you tell them how you screwed them over?

Always lets me know ahead of time that the OP has been getting shit, and is now trying to explain that "no, i didn't mean it that way" Not making fun, but I always have to just shake my head and so, oooooh these guys. I think the exclusives can't be used in an argument for a lower price. Bungie is not excluding you from getting them. They are just saying you have to wait, b/c Microsoft didn't cut a deal with them. Xbox will get all of this content, if I understand it correctly. I still don't have any of the exclusive weapons, and the dust palace strike was just meh! I wouldn't have cared if it was not there. By the time the weapons become available on xbox, you may still beat me to them. At this rate, I can't see me ever getting them. I have a shit pile of hours in destiny, and you would think I would get them by now

How is it fair to people that paid the same money for the cod dlc but got a month later? and this is happening for years. How is it fair that 3rd party companies making game for exclusive games for Xbox ? It's not fair but these are facts so ypu have to deal with em or get a ps4.

It's not the same price. PlayStation paid more for that content so we, ps users, can pay the same price as xbox users.
