What's the point of VoG when DLC roles out?
I really don't see the point in playing VoG when the DLC comes out. The guns will be out dated, the armor will be out dated, and people hate how buggy it is now. The only reason to play it is to obtain the Mythoclast and things to help you in Crotas End. But other than that, once people got full raid gear on the new raid, the VoG gear will be useless.
Share your opinion on my thoughts. I might be overreacting but I'm just sharing what I think will happen.

2 AntwortenThere is a second set of Vault of Glass raid armor that was not released originally with the game and that is higher quality. I have a very strong feeling there will be a higher difficulty level added to the Vault of Glass that will allow players who cannot get the DLC currently to also hit 32. For example, look up the hunter Mantic raid armor. This will keep players playing the first raid, but the armor will not be as good as the raid armor from the second raid in terms of using it to level up and play the second hard mode raid because it doesn't have the bonus damage to strong hive enemies ability.

VoG will be useful to get to 30, then do CE. Crota's End starts at 30, for all those that don't know. Lead designer has stated that, so i'm going to take his word for it. So the way i see it, vanguard armor - 29 max VoG armor/IB - 30 max CE armor/(Possible ToO) - 32 max HoW/?? - 34 max? Each content needs to be completed to get on to the next.

Content is still very low and this gives me something to do.

4 AntwortenWell, VoG is level 28 and 30, Crota is 30 and 32. In order to do Crota you're gonna need better Light gear, found in either VoG or IB at the moment. Stepping stones. Now IF new Leg gear starts dropping that has a higher light level than 30, that's debunked and VoG will be for gameplay purposes only.

Having just finally played it for the first time today, I find that it's kind of a good way to find new fireteam supporters, not only do you almost HAVE to have a full 6 player fireteam which makes for an interesting way to discover new players, but it also creates bonds of sorts for players who might not otherwise find many people to play with. And for the glory! The feeling of completion when your fireteam makes it from start to finish makes for a great sense of completion for those who simply can't not play each part of the game, it was an epic quest for my lowly level 26, but when I got that 30gamerscore for having completed it, I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that I didn't cheese my way through and I tried my best to participate the whole way through. For the gear! Who else feels that the VoG gear will be outdated? Umm... not many.. people want to make their character unique and playable the way they want it to be, certain gear is the only way to have certain perks, hence the reason to wear it... and where is that gear found??? VoG! Its FREE! No one has to purchase the dlc to play it. Not everyone has another 35 bucks to get the expansion right away so they will be stuck at 29 forever without it. So yes, it will be the "Staple" raid, but at least it's a decent enough quest that provides many elements of gameplay that would otherwise have to be paid for.

good question the old content is irrelevant. I say this now but if you explore vog there is a lot going on there and we know nothing about. So without being a troll the honest answer is we don't know yet. There is a huge playable area that you can almost assume will be used

From what I understand almost all of the VOG Exclusive guns are aimed towards the next raid, hence the Solar elements. So for some that don't have them will still need to get them via VOG.

It's a constant evolving game.accouse older raids would be replaced by more resent raids.but I gess the VOG would be fun to destroy once I'm level 32.

This is like saying they should just get rid of the story missions because you don't play them anymore. It just so happens there are OTHER players, who may not be so established in the game or have been playing since launch, that still need the content. New players are starting all the time and will need to raid VoG to get up to the levels needed to complete the new raid. I swear people only think everybody else is on the same level as them and have no consideration for those who are new to the game or still need to play this content. I'm a level 28 and I still need a lot more VoG runs to get raid gear and weapons, plus get the shards and whatnot needed to upgrade my stuff. There is still a need for the content.

The VoG is where they will begin just as we did. And besides that, what makes you think all of the gear will be useless? Rumors say some legendary gear and weapons will be upgradable.
