Just in case you don't take the time to read my post, but might here: Deej - I'm here to answer questions. Prove it!
So this patch is absolutely worthless! So disappointed in the developers at Bungie. All style, no substance.
Exotics:
So we have to buy an upgrade from Xur to max out an exotic? How is this an improvement? Oh, I forgot we can just dismantle unwanted exotics, this is a joke since exotics are near impossible to get unless you buy from Xur, so again how is this an improvement? Exotics are stupid for the most part anyway, most legendaries are better.
Yay, you buffed and nerfed some weapons based on people complaining on the forums! Do you not the read the complaints about all the other issues you have in this game? Screw the exotics and buffs/nerfs. What we really need is you to address is the raid! Oh yes, you did!
The raid patches are AWESOME! You fixed Atheon teleporting the wrong number of people. YAY! I will believe this when I see it. How about ALL the other problems with the raid? The regenerating health/shield Paerorian on Venus portal. Did you fix that? Nope! Hard mode players who get teleported and are in a detention bubble. Did you fix that? Nope! Relic shield bubble that allows players to still die inside of the protection. Did you fix that? Nope! The incredibly broken loot system that provides you with nothing but Chatterwhite or materials for beating your toughest challenge. Did you address that? Nope! You addressed nothing important, but “fix” the Templar so he can’t be pushed, so a two minute fight has increased to be a five minute pointless fight. Good job! You are really pushing the envelope now! Groundbreaking!
You got my money upfront for the expansion/dlc, so shame on me, but how many people will still support this game in the future when you won’t fix legitimate issues in this game? I love Destiny! I have given it over 700 hours of time, but that doesn’t change the fact that you need to fix these issues. These are just the ones you “addressed” in this patch, but doesn’t include the multitude of other issues that the community brings to your attention. For example, what about the fact that you can receive less of a reward from the nightfall strike than you can from the weekly strike (i.e. 5 or 7 strange coins as compared to 9 from weekly), what about grimoire cards that won’t unlock, what about the option for matchmaking for the raid (personally, I don’t like this, but your customers want it), what about the fact that there is no real purpose to mess with the vendors because they sell nothing of consequence (I mean really, the Cryptarch sells only white and green engrams??? WTF? How does anyone over level 12 need to buy anything from him?) Make the vendors relevant even if it cost something outrageous!
You have the framework for the greatest game ever, but you are squandering it away by not fixing the real problems in the game. The raid should be the thing that makes this game memorable, but you are patching exploits and not fixing actual problems. If someone wants cheese let them have it! How does it hurt anyone? I don’t care one way or the other, personally I like a fight! I have no Mythoclast or helmet because I didn’t do the hard mode cheese. I want to earn it, but that doesn’t mean it is the most pressing issue you need to fix. Your Templar “patch” will most likely result in more glitches to that boss battle. So “fixing” one will only create more. Not to mention, someone will figure out another way. They always do. Crota’s End will have exploits and glitches because you will not have put in the time for them either. You are to busy buffing/nerfing things to appease the masses, but you need to fix legitimate problems. I am sure I am a dog howling in the wind, but if more people would howl about real problems and less about nerf this and buff this, we might actually have an amazing game.
Ok, community, give your hate because we know it is what you do best, but I wrote this to try and get us a better gaming experience, not as a whine. I love Destiny! I want it to be the best it can be, hopefully you do as well and we speak up for real change and not nerfs/buffs. Peace.

I agree with your points.
-
Maybe for the Cryptarch 1. let him sell ONE legendary engram of a random type every day or 2/3 days Or 2. for every 20 decagrams you turn in you can purchase a legendary engram for 5k This will alleviate the Cryptarch troll effect: turning in 40 decagrams just to get 2/3 more decagrams -_-

About 373 hours man. Still a lot, but not 700.
-
Not arguing because I just took the number from what I saw, but I am curious where you found the number. My intention was not to be wrong, so if I knew where to find the correct number I would appreciate your help. I would be happy to edit the post correctly. Thanks in advance.

On the bungie.net page go to the legend tab. On the right there is a rectangle breaking down some stats. Inside the circle on the bottom left corner of this stats page, under "All" it shows the total time played for that character. Add up all of your characters and you have the total time played.
-
Does this total include characters you have deleted to remake new ones? I have done this several times. At one point I had three level 30 Titans. Just curious. Thank you for the response I will check it out.
-
I doubt it that it does. I guess you could have 700 hours if you played right around 8 hours per day, every day since launch. If so, that's a pretty sweet job.
-
I probably need another hobby. I just like the social aspect of the game. While you don't always meet great people, most of the time you really do and that makes it fun to spend time doing.
-
I had tons of hobbies, I have a recording studio in the basement, I brewed beer, had remote control helicopters, painted, played in a band, but it all turns into work after a while and I lose interest. I like my new found video game hobby. It's nice to come home from work and mindlessly shoot aliens in the face. I have over 450 hours on this game, and I spend a lot more time interacting with my teen-aged son that lives out of state. I feel you.

Exotics: “most legendaries are better(than exotics)” This is why they tweaked them… Buying exotic shards from Xur creates a better economy for strange coins, people were not using them and or just buying exotics every weekend. Now they have to spend strange coins to upgrade exotic and buy exotics from Xur, meaning they now decide how to spend and save them. Plus, this an attempt to hurry along players leveling their weapons and armor to get them ready for the DLC, now the people who could not get shards and energy because they could not or would not raid, can actually level things up fully. Summary: The patch was because exotics felt less powerful than legendries, to strength the strange coin economy in destiny, and to allow those who don’t raid to have a way to upgrade their armor and weapons. Raids: Yes, they are fixing (and probably introduce more bugs). You are correct they are way too many glitches in the raid which seems kind of dumb that they worked on cheeses instead of fixing the glitches. Remember though, not even half of the player base has played a raid, for one reason or another, this would explain why they patch more stuff outside of the raid. They have to devote effort and energy where the stats point them, they want for everyone to have fun and patch based on priority for the community as a whole. Vendors: You’re completely right. They’re Worthless Opening of your post: “So this patch is absolutely worthless!” This is whining, and is not helping you seem creditable, plus at the end you make a comment about others spewing hate, this comment is hate, its opinion stated as fact.
-
I agree with your response and I thank you for it. You are correct. I did not express myself as well as I intended. I allowed some frustration to come into the post and that was a mistake. What I like most is you took the time to respond in a rational manner. I wish we had more of this on the forum. Not everyone has to agree and when you don't make a point, just as you have here.
-
You have good points though, as a raider, I really wish they would focus more on the glitches. Randomizing the atheon battle before fixing the warping and detains, that sent me into a fix of rage myself lol
-
The last part of this comment is right on the money. Your delivery is horrible. You make valid points, but you wrapped it up in a pompous, insolent package, so no one takes you seriously. I see this often. Good points that are delivered as if they are from the mouth of a pissed off teenager.

Deej "I'm here to answer questions... if I feel like it."
-
"but I wrote this to try and get us a better gaming experience" Maybe your better gaming experience isn't everyone else better gaming experience.
-
Maybe he's making a great point. Fix bugs before you nerf exploits.
-
Yeah bug squashing is good. Game play and balancing is all differs though. To complain about needing 1 exotic shard to upgrade gear by dismantling or 7 coins from Xur.... I actually like that. It keeps the rarity. Now everyone is not buying the same exotic every weekend and then hitting the crucible with it. It makes you have decisions, do you want to finally upgrade something or do you want to save or purchase another exotic. This helps people who do not get a lot of exotics as well so they are not competing with everyone who haves a Regime or Plan C. I think this is their way of balancing the distribution of exotics and have the player make decisions and to think about their set up and purchases.
-
the fact that you can use only one exotic at a time makes the points in your post invalid...there is not much of a choice there ya know...basically you find the one that makes the most sense and screw the rest of them...it actually makes it less rare to see someone with fully upgraded exotics now that you can just buy all of the upgrade materials
-
Oh because you want everyone running around with a Vex, The Fourth Horseman, and Dragons Breathe in PvP.
-
All good points. Thanks for the post. I just want to say that it appears that Bungie is at least trying to fix problems. Yes, they may listen too much about "requested" changes on the forums . Yes, there might be new bugs that arise from trying to fix other exploits/issues (Programming. Who knew?). I just feel like everyone is "looking a gift horse in the mouth". Granted, some of these issues shouldn't be here, but I'm glad they're trying to do things to make the player experience better. I anticipate the next patch to be lackluster in comparison (regardless of anyone's opinion of this patch). So it goes, but I'm not worried. As an avid player, I will persevere the glitches, be grateful of the changes and continue having fun with friends.

The bug fix with atheon...Did not fix, Hell they added 3 more bugs in the proccess. Happened to us 6 times when 2 ppl teleport then we call ALL the oraclrs. Then we succumb to them? Bs.
-
Saw this happen last night. Wasn sure what was going on... First time I'd every seen it. They need to put more time into effective crowd pleasing solutions like fixing bugs instead of nerfing exploits.
-
Fix a bug, introduce 3 more, then the bug gets unfixed. Yay bungie
-
Bump had this happen to me 3 times in a row wtf bungie
