NERF. THE. -blam!-ING. SHOTGUN!!!!
I am so -blam!-ing tired of this shotgun show that is the crucible. Bungie, if you aren't gonna make bigger maps, then NERF the shotgun to -blam!-ing oblivion. That's the only thing that will balance this out. 98% of all the kills made in the last 3 pvp games I was in, were nothing but shotguns. EVERYONE IS RUNNING AROUND WITH A SHOTGUN! Do you see this in any other fps? Cod? Battlefield? Halo? No you don't. You might see the occasional person run around with the shotgun, but not EVERYONE. A shotgun or any other special isn't supposed to be used as a primary. NERF shotguns, limit the special ammo by 50% and make bigger maps. Only then will the crucible not be an op shotgun shitstorm. I won't quit posting about this until this is done. -blam!- anyone who disagrees. They're too afraid to admit the truth.

1 AntwortenThe problem is all these CQB maps. If the maps were wider and made scout rifles,etc more viable you wouldn't see this problem. Also why you don't see this problem in CoD, Battlefield, and Halo.

If you're being killed a lot by shotguns, then you must be almost right on top of the enemy. Simply keep your distance as much as possible

1 AntwortenShottys are already nerfed. Anyone use one in PVE anymore? I only use mine in crucible for mop up duty. If I find myself in a match against shotgun/fusion rifle junkies I just put myself in a better spot. Try to make them come to you and fight on your terms, dont play to their weapons strengths. Ex. Choke points and corners are a shotgun users best friend. Stay in open area if possible and pick them off from a distance. Pretty much the same for fusion rifles but a little tricky cause of their range. I use TLW to counter fusion rifles. If they miss just by a little they usually wont have time for a follow-up shot. So use you fastest dps gun. P.s. also helps alot if you roll with 5 others that are in your fireteam. My raid team also plays crucible together and I do much better with them than with randoms.

Wait, wait it's definitely suros that needs its accuracy nerfed. Is it time to nerf the mythoclast again? Need to steal heavy ammo before teammates arrive... You don't see people using Shotguns in CoD because you can one-shot melee everything. Battlefield is Battlefield, you can kill people with a building for all they care. No one needs a shotgun in Halo when you can sword-kill everyone. You could just stand at a distance like I do, but then again people dislike my primary weapons of choice so it's pretty much lose lose regardless.

"Nerf shotguns" "Nerf fusion rifles" The problem isn't the weapon...its the class. In pvp, you can start, minute 1, with your special weapon. The special weapons designed to one-shot at appropriate ranges. And people say it's the -blam!-ing weapons. Just remove all special ammo on spawn like heavies. Problem solved.

How hard is it to look at the title screen and realize you are playing destiny, not COD? Let me break down a little strategy for you. FPS 101. If you Utilize the ability to move your player (left thumb stick) away from the effective range of the shotgun, you can shoot people (right trigger) with your primary weapon (the one in the top slot) and you won't get killed. Is this too GED level for you to understand?

We're too afraid to admit the truth or you are? Maybe you should stop running blindly straight for the enemy and learn how to backpeddle, strafe and jump. Play to your strengths instead of worrying about your opponent and maybe you can stop crying every time you die in crucible.

While it can be frustrating, it takes a change in strategy if you're surrounded by shotties. Start clearing room when you walk in, and by god, do not just run around a corner. I find there's too many Snipers myself. Ammo problem? Run around taking all the Special Ammo

Look man when you go into a tight room switch to a shot gun, or fusion rifle. once you cross through to outside and medium to long range territory, switch to a rifle or hand canon, if your gonna run sniper and or a scout rifle don't ever go into a tight room but for best results Run a balanced setup have a medium to long range weapon and a close quarters weapon and switch between depending on where you are. Thats all it takes.
