is it just me? or are hunters useless in vog?
In the vog especially hard mode hunters are pretty much useless. All you really need are warlocks self-revive and titans ward of dawn. Hunters golden gun or arc blade is useless, they just seem useful for only holding the relic. They cant even help push atheon or the templar off so whats the use having them? No offense to my hunter brethren, you guys are just more useful in the crucible.

I play Titan, told myself if i ever master this class i would love to roll a hunter. Hunters are amazing at vog. One of the best players ive seen in vog is a hunter. Just need to know what to do and when to do it.

14 AntwortenFrom a Titans perspective: Yes, Their golden gun does one hit kills on Oracle's & if you have that one helmet that gives an extra shot you're pretty much covered for boss fights. I enjoy having a few hunters around. What I don't like is kids making Warlocks for the simple fact they can res themselves. You wouldn't need that if you didn't suck.

I have a 30 titian 30 warlock and almost 30 hunter they r all good if u know how the use em and the hunter at atheon is awesome golden gun 1 shots oracles and harpies. Its like i said u gotta know what the strenghts of each character r and apply to the raid and before sumone says something about this i been in 100+ raids and got about 30 days played and i have had 3 titians before u nag that i dont have that much time

Me and a hunter got glitch teleported on Venus. He naded the praetorian golden gunned the first Oracle's and corrective measured the rest. 2 manned the Venus portal on hard. Not useless.

2 AntwortenI find it depends on the player's skill. What good is a self revive if you're just going to die again? I main wl but find it amusing when people try to berate people by the class they play. I'd rather have 6 hunters that know what they're doing and can hold their own than 6 wls that rely on self res until the team wipes because they failed to hold their position

1 AntwortenTakes skill to play a hunter correctly. My first hard raid was done as a hunter. Using invisible a hunter can solo grab the relic at the gatekeeper in either portal. I always had my relic out while 3 warlocks failed countless times to pull the relic from the other portal. All classes have their upsides. Just depends on the players skill. Rarely die on my hunter but I tend to die many times on my warlock due to carelessness.

On the hard raid I love using my hunter for when I get warped to Venus and I'll put 4 GG shots into the praedatorian helping out the relic guy, also it's a 1 shot on Oricles.

5 AntwortenHunters were definitely designed with PVP in mind. I just finished the VoG with my hunter alt and I felt beyond useless. Golden Gun was doing like 700 damage to Atheon with Time's Vengence compared to the 12000 that my Icebreaker was doing. What the hell is the point of my super?

Hunters can gg and kill the gorgons during vengeance so when you jump back you dont die to suplicant also they are the fastest with the shield and are great for stealth revive in vog 26.

I helped slaughter Atheon on Hard yesterday; had the relic most of the time and did a badass job with it. When I didn't have the relic, I was taking out baddies with my Icebreaker. Pretty much, classes don't matter too much. It's just about having good experience with VoG, not being stupid, and not being a bossy jerkbag.
