is it just me? or are hunters useless in vog?
In the vog especially hard mode hunters are pretty much useless. All you really need are warlocks self-revive and titans ward of dawn. Hunters golden gun or arc blade is useless, they just seem useful for only holding the relic. They cant even help push atheon or the templar off so whats the use having them? No offense to my hunter brethren, you guys are just more useful in the crucible.

Golden gun on oracles is a lifesaver Golden gun on supplicants Golden gun on detain shields (your own and people with you) if you need to get out super quick if a fcking supplicants is about to blow up on you

Warlocks self revive is unnecessary if you've got a good team, it's much better to use radiant skin and produce a shitload of orbs regularly. Get your teams supers back. Not sit there and hoard it waiting to die.

Last 2 hard raids I did as a Hunter I finished with the most kills sooooooo

If you know what your doing every class can hold its own in the raid. I have a 30 Hunter and a 30 Lock / 29 Titan. I play them all equally well , if you suck it doesn't matter whether your a Titan , Hunter , or Warlock your still gonna suck:-) Bottom line is Hunters are as good as any other class! So what if they can't help exploit bosses? Is that really something you should factor in? Also, this perplexed me, "...they just seem only useful for holding the relic." You say that like it isn't one of the most important parts of the entire raid.

2 AntwortenI think it more boils down to player skill, you can have a maxed warlock who doesn't know what he/she is doing and all those abilities are wasted (until they learn how to use them). Granted there are times where one class will shine more then the others but if the raid was designed to favor one or two classes why would bungie make the third? I've only been doing normal raids (been finding it hard to locate a team for hard on 360) and I find that if you have a player who rush leveled and/or hasn't learned the in's and out's of their character's class then you will be helping them along instead of them being a productive member of the team. Then again, everyone can have a really bad day and just play like crap.

gunslingers are good for oracles and bosses

As a hunter I use my gunslinger super to keep supplicants away from the bubble so everyone doesn't get blown up :D

Hahaha if you're aiming to push atheon off then you don't deserve a hunters help anyway. As a hunter without gjallhorn the gunslinger super is awesome firing through relic shield.

lol...yeah it's just you. Someone doesn't understand how good the Hunter is. I have three characters at lv 30, and let me assure you that the Hunter is just as much of a contributor when I play hard raids as my other two.

I think hunters are more useful than warlocks because of their GG super, they can use it on many things like the praetorians on venus.

Just you. The Hunter's Golden Gun is VERY useful in finishing off Praetorians and Oracles. You just have to be more intelligent...and communicative...in how you allocate the resources that a Hunter has at their disposal. Since you don't have a panic button (Warlock) or access to a major team damage buff (Defender Titan).
