To: All The Shotgun / Fusion Rifle Noobs
EDIT: I made this thread back in November. I am aware there has been updates since. I do not care what you think of this topic anymore, please stop reviving it and let it die.
You are pathetic no skilled scrubs and you ruin the game. You abuse the amount of special ammo on the map and constantly run around with a secondary instead of your primary. I am pretty sure that this was never the intentions of Bungie. It takes absolutely no skill to run around with a shotgun or fusion rifle. Bungie said they nerfed these weapons, and I honestly see no change in the range of these OP noob tools.
Bungie needs to...
1. Limit the amount of special ammo on the maps.
2. Make players lose most if not all of their special ammo upon death.
3. Actually shorten the distance on these weapons.
Now I can't wait to see all the hateful responses from the trolls and all the scrubs out there who wouldn't know how to get a kill without their shotgun or fusion rifle.
Edit: I know this starts off much like a rant and a cry thread with the title. If I wouldn't have been so controversial with the title and the beginning then this thread would have never taken off the way it did. Also, I am not implying to remove the guns, I never said that. I just want their use limited, they are not primary weapons and therefore should not be primarily used. Lastly, I do not want all three suggestions I listed to be implemented, just one of them which I believe would make the game more balanced.

Alas, they're not and are only limited in use for PvP via fewer ammo drops. Now, before you try to use the fact that "special weapons have ammo drops too" against the primary use of a special weapon, It needs to be noted that this mechanism is also not intended to establish a hierarchy, but to combat ammo loss on death. Primarily using a special weapon in the crucible is a perfectly suitable and acceptable strategy.

I use shotguns a lot I don't give a -blam!-. Everyone can use them, there is no restrictions. If I'm in the mood I'll run around with a sniper rifle and if I have the fusion rifle bounty I'll use them. I use my primary weapons a lot too. It's kill or be killed. I would like to see people sniper more other than just on the moon but most maps have too many small areas and it's difficult to land headshots in close quarters. I earn, I use. It's not a display item I get for show. It's the same shit over and over.

Not decide " well I guess if I use my shotgun this guy will be mad because I didnt give him a free kill" and then Proceed to let myself die. When a player uses a gun that is in the game, He is not a noob. He is playing the game. If you dont like using either of those guns, then please dont. If you dont like getting killed by them, dont let them get close.

I agree on making it so special ammo isn't everywhere and that if you die you should loose some but apart from that I think specials are fine

Shotguns are still bullshit but if they get nerfed again they will be USELESS! If you dont think they are bullshit watch any shotty montage on youtube and you get the same feelings you got from the prenerf VM. But they should not be nerfed again! If you want a more balanced pvp system play any multiplayer shooter but this one. I would agree with slightly less special ammo. But bungie would over do it seeing as they have -blam!-ed nearly every adjustment up since day 1.

I get annoyed by them too. I use a fusion rifle in crucible, but sparingly, as a last resort, usually if I need to reload my VoC and someone comes running at me. But after the match I look at the scores. I always will end up with more kills, a higher k/d, and more points than the noob that has been sprinting around the map with a shotgun the entire time.

Start with no secondary ammo, and pick up just reward one clip.

7 AntwortenShorten the range of the shotguns? Dude, today combat shotguns (Benelli M4, Mossberg 500 family...) can kill within 100 meters. Hundred meters! Destiny's shotguns couldn't hit an elephant beyond 10 meters :) just saying, not raging. Peace :)

For 1. Shotguns have shitty range, so you can be gunned down by regime users (which take no skill) before they make contact. For 2. Fusion riles take time to charge, so you can be killed by a shotgun, or someone with a fast fire rate. Trust me, not as easy as to kill as you think. If you're getting killed that much you must such a lot then. Why would you complain about the special weapons ammo, unless you are using it yourself.

Everyone already crys about this, so they could reduce special ammo drops in crucible.... Then everyone will just use Suros or hand cannons. Suros and hand cannons already get cried about constantly. See the point is, no matter what they do YOU and every other sook out there will have something negative to say. I suck at crucible but still enjoy it, so don't bother throwing stats around trying to validate your tears.
