Not to abandon, but to over come. To adapt to a new generation and a new society where we move longer have to fight each other off. No longer need to use sticks and stones to be the winner. But use our brains and use them well.

I agree, but that path would leave many behind, and forgot. Though I want peace for this world, what happens if one day we need that instinct. To over come what ever is thrown at us. Maybe the human race should suppress it for a while, but eventually we may need it.

I agree, to adapt and realise that humans shouldn't be a threat to one another. But when giant Grey aliens attack maybe we should pick up some sticks again

Well its not physical enemies I'm worried about, the instinct to kill bleeds into many emotions. Giving man purpose, but I guess that's from my religious viewpoint. Which would be irrelevant in a situation like this. I hope the future only brings peace.

I agree that our strive to be successful comes from the very part of us that strives to be dominant. I know personally as a very neandarthilical male, that I can feel the same from providing for the ones I love, to defending them. And it stems from the same part, but we would have to all make the conscious choice to choose non aggressive behavior

Saying and doing are two separate things. One can say they will not react to something aggressively, but actually being in the moment takes willpower. A willpower most do not have
