Honestly some of you people are awful.
Personally, I love Destiny. Every week doing the raids and nightfalls with new people, making conversation and having fun playing Destiny. This is why this game is so good. The idea of this game, the importance of cooperation in playing it, is what makes it so enjoyable.
But then there are these few people that ruin it for everyone. Every Friday when Xur comes around and you get those people saying "I earned my gear, you're all Xurners". The people who are now saying that people who hit level 30 through Iron Banner are fakes. And then those people in the community with no compassion, like when someone with severe medical issues was given FOAF, and today I saw someone who is fighting depression called a "pussy" by another person in the forums, like seriously, where are your morals and values as a human being.
These are the people that spoil this game for the rest of us. I have come across very few of these people actually playing the game and the majority of people I meet and play with are great people and we have good fun.
But then these people that complain about Xur and IB lvl 30.
WHO CARES!!
I'd rather have more people at level 30. It makes the hard raid each week a lot easier. And to those who want Xur removed because he sells things you got in a lucky drop. Why? When Xur sells these things your future teammates get better armour and better weapons, making raids, strikes, and crucible easier.
Why don't you just get over yourselves and enjoy the game for what makes it good, which is the sense of community you get from working as part of a team and cooperating to achieve things in this game.
Thanks for reading and if any of you want to add me on XB1 my GT is KoloSaurus. I'm always on Destiny and willing to help out with raids, strikers, crucible, anything really,
Also I am looking to join a clan to make some friends, and play with you people that are really enjoying Destiny. So if you run a clan or are a part of one and are looking for some members, please send me a message either through this or on XB1.
Thanks all and hope you all keep enjoy playing Destiny!!
Edit 1: Wow! Can't believe the positive response from you guys. It's fantastic to see so many great community members are out there.
Edit 2: I've received so many adds of you guys wow. I'm looking forward to doing the raid and weekly strikes with you all each week so if you need an extra guardian be sure to invite me if you see me online!

I like the perks, got the IB boots and gauntlets with scout rifle reload buff and ammo. Although I don't need ammo buff for my voc the speedy reload is very nice, not to mention the mida.

Rising through the Iron Banner ranks then farming glimmer to buy armour = earned. Playing the same shit over and over and over and over and over again hoping for a drop in your favour = more luck than earned but probably more difficult. I got my legs and gauntlets through Iron Banner and I gotta say, I don't feel like I cheated. Feel like I really tried and got rewarded for my skill and persistence. I didn't get rewarded for my constant bitching and persistence. Seriously, the same enemies in the same spawn area in the same mission is pretty simple to me. I'm not saying PvE is stupid but I'm definitely more PvP. Which is why I thank you Bungie for Iron Banner.

Every game faces these kin of issues. In my opinion a large part of the grief comes from people feeling like their personal achievements are being undermined by a distant omnipresent Developer who cares only for financial gain and not the experience. This of course is a miss guided though process because your achievements will not have been taken away simply because a vender now stocks your items. People need to take pride in their actions, not their gear. In my opinion some of the best actions that can be taken are those you do to help others in the game; helping a under-leveled guardian through the Nightfall so they can try and gear up, walking a team through the raid so they can learn to understand its mechanics, hell even doing crucible with a friend so they can get enough marks to buy that faction gear they really want. Those are achievements worth having.

I agree with you 100%, I share your thoughts on some on the forums & in game as well. I don't like being around the negativity so I mute those who go that route or I will refuse to play with them. I've seen my share of those you speak of as well, especially some seem to use one my biggest pet peeves which is racism . Really, really? people racism in this day & age is NOT needed it creates bigger problems, it has NO place in this game. So in other words LEAVE it out of the game.

very... inspiring, bravo :)

Personally I think you need thicker skin if they are ruining your game or forum. I just mute them as i see them, there are a few less of them everyday as I click mute. It only hurts if you choose to listen.....

well said! There are definitely some real pricks out there but theres also some really great people too. I wasnt going to bother with PSN when i got a ps4 because of meeting lots of a##holes on halo and cod so was a bit nervous of doing VOG. But actually thepeople i met were great, really helpful even though i was a bit sh#t and died a few times. Nice to know theres still good gamers out there.

Bearbeitet von Dredd_fan: 11/25/2014 7:29:11 AMI have put in over 370 hours into the game and I have met only one sack of shit online He whined because he kept dying with his dumbass tactics and because I was last to die he asked me to leave mission because I was shit lol. All other players have been cool. The turds are in the forums so I suggest you don't read them.

Well honestly man, the only problem I have with players are the ones who are new to game and it's mechanics. This is why I work with my own team or rely on only myself. I have no problem with the game. Earning gear through Xur and not through Iron banner is just another way to earn your stripes. It's in the game get over it. We are all going to get to lvl 30 if we want. It's just a matter on which way we want to get there or which path we choose to play, PVE or PVP. Each player is here for their own sake and their own reasons. So in other words I agree :).

All the horrible people in the forums are controlled by the darkness. We must bathe them in the light of the traveller and bring back all that is good in them.
-
Destiny is like anywhere else. 90% of players are descent folk, but that loud, obnoxious, adolescent, winey, covetous 10% is what you see and hear from, simply because of the above mentioned character traits. Most of us run with our friends to avoid the 10%. When we pick up a random 10%, I'm usually the mouthpiece of the crew that puts them in their place then gives them the boot. I have a low tolerance for rudeness.

Love it. A+ post.

One thing that maybe we can all do as a Community is inform the players that don't go to the forums of this game and give them our knowledge on updates and some certain things the computer-less players may not know. (I.E.) Had a player blow up the Pike gang on Earth, thinking they're the Public Event. I explained that its for assisting lucky players to obtain one to help complete Patrols faster, he felt bad and we made amends. So lets assist other players in whats coming, what is gonna happen, and what can help them in the "Lean Manufacturing" of their abilities/tactics.

This is probably one of the only reasons our exotics got nerfed. People like you are the reason I stick around. If you want to add me to screw around, you hmu whenever and I'm down. My gamer tag is same as my name

I would rather not add you til I know you as popup notifications are annoying if you dont play with the friend consistently. But Ill be happy to VS you in IB Crucible. I shall seek you ! :D
-
Those are the people bungie is trying to protect us from in game. And honestly they've done a good job so far. A little to protected perhaps, but only once have I had a fireteam member ruin my gaming experience.
-
You Sir, are somebody I would game with and share a forum thread with any day. I'm on PS3, but I salute you. I feel the same way about this amazing game. I am a level 30 with full raid gear, as well as a level 30 with iron banner gear. With every exotic too. I can make my build however I want! Let the haters hate. Who cares how somebody got their gear so long as they play the game well? And I think the only ones that complain about Xur have no friends, otherwise, why would they complain if they're buddies now have just as good weapons as them? Only a foreveralone would complain about that.
-
Bad ass this is how gaming should be!
-
Good stuff. I love this game and what the future of it may bring. All the negativity is absurd. This world is filled with so much hate that it's good to see a stand up post. Wish I liked xbox1 to join up with you. Im always game for meeting and raiding with new people. So ill use this platform to promote myself on ps4... wonderbread28 is my psn .. just like the OP im always down for endgame/dailies/strikes even if i did it already.

This community needs more people like you, stranger.
-
2 AntwortenI think the problem with the people you speak of is that they pathetically have no life. Because they are not successful in real life they use video games to help them feel better about being successful in a video game. The IB armour and Xur take that special feeling away from them.
-
Good for you an positive vibe and attitude. Thanks for making the world a better place mate! Shine on
-
Also, why would someone who has 30 from Iron Banner be a fake? What if they have both and like the upgrades for iron banner armor? People on the forums need to stop being so self entitled and get off the high horse they placed themselves on.

Its simple, anonymity and the safety of being free from consequences that it provides brings out the worst in us. Id rather be myself online and off so I have my real name as PSN ID. over the years I have observed a pattern of abusive and overall douchenozzle players in many online games and usually the people who put all sorts of numbers and other crap in their names are usually the worst of it.
