An Open Letter to all Destiny Players!
Honestly some of you people are awful.
Personally, I love Destiny. Every week doing the raids and nightfalls with new people, making conversation and having fun playing Destiny. This is why this game is so good. The idea of this game, the importance of cooperation in playing it, is what makes it so enjoyable.
But then there are these few people that ruin it for everyone. Every Friday when Xur comes around and you get those people saying "I earned my gear, you're all Xurners". The people who are now saying that people who hit level 30 through Iron Banner are fakes. And then those people in the community with no compassion, like when someone with severe medical issues was given FOAF, and today I saw someone who is fighting depression called a "pussy" by another person in the forums, like seriously, where are your morals and values as a human being.
These are the people that spoil this game for the rest of us. I have come across very few of these people actually playing the game and the majority of people I meet and play with are great people and we have good fun.
But then these people that complain about Xur and IB lvl 30.
WHO CARES!!
I'd rather have more people at level 30. It makes the hard raid each week a lot easier. And to those who want Xur removed because he sells things you got in a lucky drop. Why? When Xur sells these things your future teammates get better armour and better weapons, making raids, strikes, and crucible easier.
Why don't you just get over yourselves and enjoy the game for what makes it good, which is the sense of community you get from working as part of a team and cooperating to achieve things in this game.

6 AntwortenI have done the raid 12 times now. I'm still missing the chest piece and the helmet. If an opportunity presents itself to obtain a lvl 30 chest piece or helm, I will f***ing take it, screw those who thinks it's not "legit".

I'll agree, this forum can be bad but I rarely run into people during online play that are that big of an ahole as what you see at times here. I'll just express the reason for this, and most will likely understand. Posting on the interwebs is by and large completely anonymous, so the toughnutzers feel like bigshots or are just d-bags in general who like trolling to anger people, or they're just idiots. But when you play online, even though its still online and somewhat anonymous, the voice-chat I believe makes people less likely to be harda$$es, and you get a better more respectful interaction. Also there are lots of children, young teens playing this game so there will always be poor etiquette d-bags aplenty on the forums.

People who complain about other level 30's are crucible elitist try-hards. They're the people you see going 27-3 k/d with a fusion rifle during the iron banner. The whole point of destiny is to invest into your guardians, whether you like cooperative missions or just rolling around in your ev-30 with friends, raiding, or competitive multiplayer; it suits every gamers' preferences. The end result is the same, the way it was built and the way it will remain.

I love Destiny, from the scenery to the score. My only gripe at this point are the several glitches in the hard raid.

Yea it irritates me a little to have ppl hate on my iron banner gear. I've only gotten 1 exotic ever in a drop and 1 legendary in a drop. I don't get lucky with drops so I'm forced to play IB to get good gear and I have to grind out exotic bounties for my exotic weapons. It is aggravating but nobody can tell me I didn't earn it. But I don't hate on ppl who get stuff through drops because there is no reason. They have the same level gear as me, so we are equal

Finally, exactly what iv been telling people. It doesn't matter how you get all those exotics, if everyone had an icebreaker or gallahorn everything would be easier. The only competitive nature of the game is crucible and even then it's balanced. That's why I love helping new people do raids and nightfall.

I'd tell you why people do this, but I'd end up getting banned. There is a reason for a lot of this, but I'd rather not get hated by people who can't handle the truth, and getting banned by Bungie for harassment.

Completely agree with this, as a "Xurer" or whatever myself, I find that herrings through Xur is more earned than the lucky drops as you can only get a large enough number of coins through skill in the weekly or if you're very lucked. Either way it doesn't matter, I just don't see how lucky drops are more earned in a random loot drop system?

Is the RNG really earning? not in my opinion, you could go on your first raid and get some raid gear, some people may have completed it 5 times and not got much, is this really fare? Nope. at least you actually have to earn the coins in the weekly's, some you get from random drops but you need 23 for a primary weapon, that's is 2 weeks of weekly's plus a few more you get through drops, now 2 week is a long time, I bet you would have a decent chance of something dropping in the raid in that time. I am not lucky enough to know that many people that play the game to do the raid, I'm lvl 28 and haven't done the raid once so doing iron banner rep and getting the gear would help me a lot, plus I prefer PvP to PvE so why would both not have the same reward in the end?

Seriously, man. We need all the 30s that we can get. It makes things so much easier. Your point that this is a cooperative game is lost on all the people who think that destiny should be COD.

Nice post man, sadly some of the comments in response to this thread show that Jeremy Kyle will never be short of guests. Thankfully the vocal minority are exactly that and actually playing Destiny I seem to encounter few of their species :)

1 AntwortenRising through the Iron Banner ranks then farming glimmer to buy armour = earned. Playing the same shit over and over and over and over and over again hoping for a drop in your favour = more luck than earned but probably more difficult. I got my legs and gauntlets through Iron Banner and I gotta say, I don't feel like I cheated. Feel like I really tried and got rewarded for my skill and persistence. I didn't get rewarded for my constant bitching and persistence. Seriously, the same enemies in the same spawn area in the same mission is pretty simple to me. I'm not saying PvE is stupid but I'm definitely more PvP. Which is why I thank you Bungie for Iron Banner.

I like the perks, got the IB boots and gauntlets with scout rifle reload buff and ammo. Although I don't need ammo buff for my voc the speedy reload is very nice, not to mention the mida.
