Vangaurd missions can gain you faction rank but the marks are not spendable on those items...?
Makes zero sense to me. Am I alone here? I haven't seen any other post on this.
Is this just another case of PvP being shoved down or throats? PvP is not for me.
Edit: I'm not saying remove Crucible marks from factions but rather just add Vangaurd. So both could be spendable. Right now Crucible marks can be spent at 5 vendors while Vangaurd can only be spent with 2
Please comment to help get this thread noticed. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this blatant over site.

Or make faction marks if you have a faction item on.

1 AntwortenI personally think there should be a way to convert vanguard and crucible marks to strange coins or some other form of currency. Then have the factions accept that currency. Or just have one kind of mark for both vanguard and crucible.

I agree im maxed on vanguard marks why is it only 200? I am close to lv 2 for armour but i cant get other stuff why not?
-
Agree and not crucible Marks
-
This is an absolute MUST. The vanguard and crucible vendors sell twelve weapons and eight armour pieces for each class. But each faction also sells four weapons and eight armour pieces, which means that PVP players have a choice of 24 weapons and 32 armour pieces, compared to the vanguard that only have 12 and 8 of each.

On my second character I joined dead orbit when I reached level 20. My vanguard rank is only level 1 therefore I've been stuck on 200 Vanguard Marks for over 3 weeks as it's impossible to spend them.

Totally agree with you. I posted a thread about this same topic a week or so ago. Glad to see other people have the same opinion. The only answers against this idea is that it goes against the grimore cards, which state that the factions are groups that fight against in the crucible not outside it. But don't quote me on that one. Thats just what I have heard.

9 AntwortenIf pvp isn't for you, then faction items isn't for you as well.
-
I agree. This should be implemented.
-
2 AntwortenI agree with the poster. I tend to farm materials and sell batches of 50 to the Crucible vendor to get crucible marks, doing patrols etc to boost rep on faction and the vanguard depending on what I dream of buying.
-
I'm with you!
-
I completely agree. I own every single vanguard weapon and those marks are worthless to me. I would like some faction weapons but I don't play crucible much.
-
Been saying this since day 1. 4 vendors for Crucible gear (3 factions + crucible vendor) and 1 for PvE (Vanguard vendor).... Hmmmm makes perfect sense since the PvE world is only a gazillion times bigger than PvP /sarcasm off
-
1 AntwortenAgree or have separate sets at each. My wife hates PvP and only plays solo so she is limited to once set of gear.
-
3 AntwortenWell, technically vanguard missions give reputation towards the vanguard not the factions, you're faction symbol does that. The factions are only concerned with beating out the other factions in terms of strength and success, not to fight the darkness. So they really wouldn't care about the outside world stuff you do, they only care about who has strongest guardians and they determine that through the crucible, not the strikes or raid because all the guardians have done the strikes and raid. They don't care about something everyone can do so they stick to crucible where guardian teams have to be better than the enemy to win.

I fully agree, I was talking about this with my mates the other night. Love dead orbit but can't bring myself to play 50 crucible matches just to buy a weapon. So need to rely on rng from ranking dead orbit up in the hope I get the weapons I want.
-
Yea this bothered me since the beginning and I never understood the logic behind it.

6 AntwortenXur sucks ass, just like this game. Destiny is garbage. Period.

They really should!

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von carsquibsquab: 11/21/2014 6:10:52 PMTry reading the weekly update again. It states "Even the marks you’ve earned will have new buyers who hold what your arsenal craves." Now this is not guarenteed but it seems like the vendors will accept vanguard marks now. It could just mean new vendors in general but IMO it seems like the existing vendors will accept both types of marks (hopefully).

I agree 100%!!!!
-
Vanguard is MUCH better anyway. besides looks/color i dont see why you would rather faction weapons over vanguard.
-
1 AntwortenProblem is..the rep that goes along with the marks. It would be nice though. Bungie wants to make it hard for practically everything so you'll have to keep playing, and playing, and playing to achieve things.
-
I could not agree more. At the very least let us spend marks on faction shops even if it is 2 vanguard marks for every 1 faction mark I would still be pleased with it. Or we could buy faction marks from Xur or from the faction shop with Glimmer or motes or even coins. Come on Bungie, stop pushing PVP due to lack of content in PVE...
