Be Honest - "Earned" or Xur-ned" Your First Exotic?
With all this debating going on between "earners" and "Xur-ners" I'm wondering how many people actually got their first exotic from Xur?
I would think the number would be high, since he's been around since the start when everybody was a lower level and the raid wasn't around yet. I would also be interested to know if the same people who whine when Xur sells their precious exotic actually got their first one from him, but I doubt many would admit it anyway.
Also share what level you were when you got your first, regardless of which method you used.

Well technically yes and no. I had gotten a few exotics (armor) before but not for my titan. I bought my first exotic weapon patience and time from him. I've had some good exotic drops from rng lately tho. No Back Up Plans from a legendary engram, Universal Remote from a tiger strike, TLW literally 20 mins after I bought it from him, so I deleted the one i bought for shits n giggles to be a cool rng earner, thunderlord from Nightfall this week

Both... Purchased an exotic Engram from Xur with motes of light and was blessed by RNGesus with "Young Ahmkaras Spine."

I will admit: I "Xur-ned". But I don't care. As long as I am happy. And this is how everyone should feel, I believe. It doesn't matter which way you achieved it, as long as you are happy/pleased/content etc etc. Life's too short for this bullshit. Honestly. [:

Bearbeitet von AlucardAFT89: 11/20/2014 7:59:52 PMOn your own terms, "earned" means getting something by chance... "Xurned" means working hard, playing the weekly heroics to get strange coins. Earned gives a sense of satisfaction, while xurned gives some sense of accomplisment.

Lucked my way to a patience and time week 2. Bought an Engram from xur for my first exotic armor, turned it into a crest of alpha lupi.

Suros Regime, from Xur. Let's face it, it's the only way to go! I just don't get exotic drops, well once I did, but it was armor.

My first was gjalahorn in the raid. I was disappointed at first because of ignorance. Now I feel lucky I have two lol.

Got lucky to find Truth as my first exotic. At this point, about half of my exotics are from xur, the rest either spoils or the exotic bounties.

Mine was a nightfall drop.

Lol was playing crucible one night, fist couple of games had an average KDR of 3.0......nothing. Went AFK for most of one match, I was rewarded with the Suros. Totally earned it! lol

Thunder devil from a rare or legendary engram before the patch. Not sure if you could get exotics from a rare but if not it was probably a legendary
