what I just experienced is the full reason why i refuse to raid with lvl 29s
we just just did the raid.
three lvl 29s
three lvl 30s
eveyr wipe was caused by a lvl 29
they deal so little damage that we made a habit of sending a 4th person into the portal to finish off oracles because of how little damage they do.
lvl 30 raid is lvl 30 for a reason

You obviously did not have a pretty good Raid team. No reason in the world that 3 30s and 3 29s should not be able to finish a Hard Raid. While I've only completed the Hard Raid 3 times, none of the teams I was on had more than 3 30s and we never had to send a 4th person into the portal. Again, just my experience.

Hard mode is for 30s only right? Sound logic to me. I would never try it unless I was 30, but that's just how I roll :P

Im a fellow 29 that carries 30's through hard raid because they dont know when to drop the relic and help shoot in the portal or shoot my maced ghallarhorn because they dont have anything worth using against the gatekeepers. Ive completed it 4 times on hard, rarely is it my fault for the whipe and i am always the one that picks up the slack. Run it all the time with only 2 30's. Your fireteam must have been horrendous.

skill issue not gear issue... i am 29 and i can handle oracle by my self, its hard but possible, so we have a relic holder, some one shooting the minator thing and then i shoot oracles and the other helps once its down.... and this is all 29s... My tip, stop playing with baddies... this game just like every game is a skill based over gear

To me there are two types of 29. The group who has multiple leveled classes, they have maxed weapons and know the strategies and tactics for the raid. They need one or two pieces to hit 30 and have raid weapons for oracle damage. Then there are the fresh 29s. They don't know the strats, don't have leveled weapons. Sometimes will even have a blue weapon or no exotic weapon. The usually don't have any raid gear or oracle weapons. The first group can handle a hard raid. The second usually can't. Depending on the difficulty and skill curve sometimes they can hang, sometimes they can't. I find it usually boils down to them not being able to put out enough Dps.

My question is did they have raid weapons and were they maxed? I will admitt when I was a 29 in hard mode I was not very good with the relic but had no trouble killing supplicants snd damagung atheon with maxed epilogue and ice breaker.

Think The team might have been a bit tired. We where all 6 29 first try.. Took us more like 5h but it was doable. Now with every1 at 30 it's a whole different story :)

You should always send a fourth in portals to expedite the oracle process to allow more tunnel dps on atheon. I have 3 30s (just recently), almost 50 raid cards, and have alot of respect for 29s cause they are still trying to get gear despite being ignored by RNGjesus.

i did the raid with 3 29s and 3 30s and it wasnt that hard but the 29s where actually pretty good so it didnt cause many whipes

It's called Real Life Moose. When you're on a team....you're always going to have a rookie or a weaker link. That's part of the challenge. Always running an 'all star 30 team' isn't making you better and isn't helping 29's who could be awesome once they had the experience and were given a chance. You were 29 once too. I'm happy you got to 30...don't deny others the same opportunity

Sounds like you rolled with crappy lvl 29 players but just my opinion. Obviously rolling with 30s is better hands down no question but it can be done with 29s if they know how to roll. Hopefully the iron banner will allow more players to reach 30 so this won't be an issue anymore.

3 AntwortenYou were prolly with people who didn't play well. I run with 29s all the time. Last night 3 of us solod each side before the relics came out. I've also played with 30s who died all the time. Shit we've run with just 5 people threw hard.

Ran it last night with 4 29s, me being one of them.. Breezed through it, get a better squad bro

Then it's time to find 29's who don't suck. I played hard raid with 5 29's and one 30. Guess who died the most. The 30. Does that mean 29's are better than all 30's? No, it means that 30 sucked ass. I've gone through the entire hard raid as level 29 and didn't die once (not counting when one person would get caught by Gorgons and it kill everyone else)

Level 29 players do just fine in the Raid. We had a Clan team in last night, two level 30 players and four level 29's. Cleared the raid from the beginning in about 3 hours with around 30 minutes for breaks. If you are having difficulty in the raid look to your Raid team leader for direction, they should be actively paying attention to performance, positioning, kills and problem spots. Your refusal to raid with certain people just because of level will be detrimental to you in future content, that is a fact.

You're the kind of dope I wouldn't raid with ever. Blaming other people for a lapse and hailing yourself as so much better. Give me a break.

Did hard raid 4 29s and two level 30s. We did it. There were a couple of deaths but nothing to cry about. Wouldnt start blocking out 29s from a raid. We are a community help people
