For me it would have to be the Australian Outback. Not much to look at during the day, but at night, the sky is the most dazzling thing I have ever seen. Truly breathtaking.
So what about you? Tell me your story!

One of them is where I live in Washington. This place is great. But for a natural location, Ive done a lot of backpacking in Southern Utah. Such a great place in an unfortunate state.

1 AntwortenI free climbed Mt. Etna in Sicily in the winter and snowboarded down next to flowing lava. One of the highlights of my life.

1 AntwortenThe top of mount Pilatus in Luzern Switzerland. I have gone to the very top twice and the view is incredible. I'd say it took my breath away, but that was just the altitude.

4 AntwortenWent backpacking in the mountains of Wyoming once. Went in 50 miles from the trail head. The weather was perfect and the air was so crisp. My most vivid memory of the trip was stopping to rest in a meadow that overlooked this valley that was the richest green you could imagine. You could see for miles and see the shadows of the clouds rolling over the trees. It was the most relaxing place I've ever been.

2 AntwortenSeaside Oregon. I lived there for a spell. The place was absolutely breathtaking. When your window looks out to the ocean, it's hard to top.

I climbed Clouds Rest in Yosemite...... Indescribable! I would love to hike up during the night to watch the sunrise. Also, I went to Mexico for my honeymoon and we went to Tulum, which are Mayan ruins on the coast. That place is beautiful. I can't wait to go back. We also repelled into a cenote and got to climb the ruins of Ek Balam (hard to find ruins you can touch/climb anymore), which was something in my bucket list. Now I just want to go back already.
