Bungie, I have done nothing but defend this game to others on a daily basis. This game is revolutionary in a lot of ways, but it is still in its infancy stages. Loot should be fixed, gathering should be fixed, don't get anyone started on the PvP or the fact that exotic weapons are, in most cases, worse than legendary weapons.
That being said, for the past two tuesdays following the last patch, I log into my game excited to play, but not excited to hear people complain about the game on my party chat. But then something happens:
Like clockwork, I go to do the nightfall with some friends, or just do some dailies, and I get weasel, bee, and a number of other errors. I am a network security engineer, and am by no means new at configuring my routers to work properly with the demanding games of today. One thing that I have noticed, however, are that people that are utilizing Verizon FiOS are typically the users that are experiencing the most issues.
My suggestions:
1. Fix your architecture.
2. Someone for the love of god, get in touch with verizon and figure this crap out on behalf of thousands of pissed off users.
3. None of this was an issue for me before last week's patch. Something that was in that patch is not compatible with FiOS users. Once you figure out what it is, please revert back to the setting that worked for us.
All I want is to be able to play a game that I paid for. I don't want to play Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare, or even the Halo: Master Chief Collection. I want to play Destiny, and users that are not able to play a game that they paid their hard earned money to play have not, and probably will not be compensated. I find this to be completely absurd.

In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go. Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it’s a peach of cake

8 AntwortenGet real Internet service. Don't let a cell phone company called ripoff town (wait I mean verizon) give you Internet. My Internet (att u verse) is fine and I NEVER get errors except the rare router reboot / crash putting me to title screen. Bit none of the wild zoo errors

You know since destiny went up its been getting ddos attacks since day one from notorious hacker groups like lizard squad. So that may be some of your problems. If you are having bad connection today it's because of lizard squad kid.

I have cox 180d and 30up, nat type 2 on ps4. Getting poor signal 24/7. This is the worse servers of all time. I had no problem playing other games.

Also, I have FiOS and I had disconnect problems one day, and Bungie had an alert banner up acknowledging a problem and that they were working on it. After it was fixed, no more problems. I find it really hard to believe that a "network engineer" would base an accusation like this on zero troubleshooting at all. You have absolutely no clue where your packets are dropping off yet you claim you know the source of the problem? Sounds like a load of bullshit to me.

Yes, something in their Layer 7 code affected one providers layer 2 type of connectivity. You do realize, there is nothing inherently different from FiOS and other networks other than the layer 2, right? This is from a Network Engineer's perspective, so I am totally confused by the ignorance of your post.

This whole game is LAG...especially crucible..I love when shots just don't register. ....got worse when the servers came back up...nice maintenance bungie

I have FiOS and Tuesday sucked for me too. Leaving the mission with my fireteam and re-entering all together somehow fixed it, but that might have just been a coincidence.

i use another better service than Verizon I I get the same crap disconnect after disconnect error codes are always the same I contacted a pal who is a network genius and though a whole lot can happen to the data packets from sender to destination the frequency it happens in THIS game points directly to Bungies networks , severs and personal

2 Antworteni'm not with verizon...hell i'm not even in the same country as you guys but i have the entire frigging bungie zoo in my gaming room!! let's face it, the servers are shit. they have been since day one. it is not our internet because we can play all other online games quite well, without any issues whatsoever. and it seems unless you're a US college student they won't pay attention or even reply to your issue.

I have Fios, I dont know what kind its the most expensive one though b/c we stream movies all the time....I have been disconnected from Bungie once...ever and then I checked here and they were having one of those "Red Banner problems"....its not fios

A-flippin-MEN... it's getting to the point that i want to give up on the game all together. i genuinely enjoy it and think it's a great game but what good does it do me if i can't even sign on? or getting kicked off the daily right near the end. stop patching Atheon and the VOG and focus more on the fact that you have players out there that can barely get through a bounty! it took me over an hour to get 6 patrols done yesterday. for the love of god Bungie listen to your players and address this immediately!
