Confirmed via twitter. Remastered Mass Effect trilogy is coming to next gen. Focused on improved gameplay and graphics and seamless transition from game to game without having to do new play throughs (Something like the DA Keep or Gibbed on PC) all DLC included 1080p 60fps will be LOOKED AT but thus far this is only what they're looking at.

With that in mind it's important to reflect on those famous last words
"Destiny will be better than Mass Effect"
And of course.
"Bioware could learn a thing or two from destiny"
Indeed, they will have figured out quite quickly that nobody cares about a sucky ending to a game without a story to begin with.

Wow this is awesome! I cant wait!

2 AntwortenYeah so without going into my typical rant on this series.... I'll simply say that remaster better have some serious overhauling on the ending and making past choices actually matter. It's funny because ME3's story parallels Dragon Age: Origins in many ways, but DA:O executes far better. I especially appreciated DA:O allowing you to actually use the army you built in your final assault.

5 AntwortenIf only I had a way to play more than one game at a time. Maybe some sort of disc based media I could swap in and out.
-
For one.. Why does everyone assume you can only play one game at a time. Second..no versus mp, so alot wouldn't even touch it. Third.. Two very different games. I'd buy it, but only for ME3s Co op multi-player. Best the stories numerous times.. Could careless about that.

4 AntwortenI loved those games, but i refuse to scan any more planets for resources. REFUSE!

1 Antwortenpfft who wants to reply the same old missions you've already done, over and over again.... oh i see

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von bigroy666: 11/7/2014 1:37:54 PMUm..ok if this is for real...yeah I'm all for that. Mass effect is absolutely one of my favorites. Love destiny, but i would put it down for a long while if this is true, hell I wouldn't have to buy another game all year lol Not hating on destiny but I'm sorry hand over fist mass effect, immersion wise just can't be beat in my opinion. One of my all time favorites. Anyone got a link to this? Also if they'd release morrowind, oblivion and skyrim, I'd be set for this whole generation.

3 AntwortenI've played these games already. Esp mass effect 2 I played thru 6 times

If this is true, I'll get my money ready for throwing!
-
Will this one have good graphics unlike the first 3?
-
4 Antworten"Bioware could learn a thing or two from destiny" ????? no they dont at all instead of flapping your lips and putting BS in a thread go get a job!!!!
-
Does anyone else not know what this guys talking about? Where did these "famous last words" come from?
-
Mass Effect 1 was very mediicre. Other than being able to decide who to sleep with I can't remember any innovation.
-
3 AntwortenAwesome - You mean I get to play the same games over again? with the same story too!? Can't wait..........-_-
-
Well that will be one to pick up again just like I am doing with Halo MCC
-
Already played through all 3 multiple times. Great series, but not worth buying again.
-
3 AntwortenWill they add new things or is it just the exact same game, but prettier? If it's the same, Halo takes the cup with ease.
-
Eh. Played them already. And was somewhat disappointed by them. Unlike most people the ending didn't really bother me. It was mainly the crappy mechanics. And despite the relationship choices I felt the game was shallow compared to fallout or the elder scrolls games. I played all 3, because I love sci if, but the whole time I played them I always thought they could be better. I already traded them in, and I rarely trade games in. I wouldn't buy them again.

Mass Effect was boring and repetitive to me with a a story I didn't care for. The two games are massively different. It's a matter of opinion. Regardless Destiny isn't going to lose it's audiences to a rerelease. There are actually people who enjoy the game that deal with the problems it has.

I'll be on this like a spider monkey!
-
played them, am done with them , don't need to play them again with better graphics.

4 AntwortenWill you all shut the -blam!- up with.. OH! _______ is coming out! Destiny is going to die now... Just shut the -blam!- up.. Sincerely.
-
4 AntwortenDestiny is not and never will be better than Mass Effect...fact or opinion does not matter. I will never care for or have attachment to any other set of game characters ever again.
-
5 AntwortenThe more people buy this remastered crap the more this will trend. Mass effect was amazing, that trilogy goes down in my all time fav list. I'd prefer to keep it their. Soon games will just be a rehash of old shit the more people buy it. I want new games. Hell make a mass effect 4, 5 and 6 with a new story line. Devs will see they can crack out a quick 100mil by just polishing up a past game and stop focusing on new games and new stories. This is bad for all of us...

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von IshihadoX: 11/7/2014 3:37:05 AMMass Effect is 10x better than Destiny in every way possible. I just replayed 1 and 2, and am on 3. Shepard could kick the shit out of any Destiny "guardian". :P If they release the whole series, seamless play between 1-3 plus remastering, I would pay for it in a heartbeat.
