Mass Effect trilogy next gen confirmed! Destiny to lose sci fi audience.
Confirmed via twitter. Remastered Mass Effect trilogy is coming to next gen. Focused on improved gameplay and graphics and seamless transition from game to game without having to do new play throughs (Something like the DA Keep or Gibbed on PC) all DLC included 1080p 60fps will be LOOKED AT but thus far this is only what they're looking at.

With that in mind it's important to reflect on those famous last words

1 AntwortenThe only last gen update I'm looking forward to is GTAV, the addition of being able to play in first person on top of the updated graphics should make it worth the purchase. Just upgrading the visuals seems like the games makers being lazy while the user base for the new generation increases enough to make dropping the last gen consoles worth while!! Roll on the day when a nail is driven into PS3 game development so we can really see what is possible with our new hardware.

I adore Mass Effect and it was my favourite series of games last gen, but I don't think I'd buy the remaster. Mainly because I'd feel compelled to platinum it and Mass Effect 1 takes way too much effort to do so. Hopefully it does release for the people that haven't experienced it. It's amazing and everybody into Sci-Fi and RPG's/shooters should play it.

I will however miss the classic SWKotOR style combat in the first ME where every power had its own cool down so combat was much more tactical in my opinion and you didn't have to worry about ammo. Having "clips" which were essentially disposable heat sinks was a stupid idea and was a step backwards technologically but its whatever @.@ still happy.

I really hope its an actual remake and not just better graphics tacked over the game like how the first Halo Anniversary was. Now dont get me wrong, Halo Anniversary was great but I dont want to see every remake like this. I want it to be like Halo 2 Anniversary where everything is literally remastered, different angles and stuff. Can't wait to see Mass Effect trilogy remastered but I would like for them to announce Mass Effect 4 soon, I already know that they're working on it unlike Bethesda with Fallout 4

5 AntwortenI won't be replaying! I'm now getting a bit bored of all the remastered games we have been playing for years! MCC, Mass Effect, Metro, Uncharted it's just lazy from developers they should focus on producing new IP like Bungie have with destiny.

6 AntwortenMass Effect doesn't need 're-mastering. EA can go -blam!- themselves. I guess in a few years we'll get a remastered CoD series too. You don't have to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy Destiny.
