I get your point. However Xur doesn't sell Raid gear so there really is no point. If your buying weapons and thinking it's the end of the game your wrong. Beating VoG on hard and getting full raid gear is as close to end as we can get right now. Xur does not impact this. You can have 1,000 strange coin and still never beat VoG, or attempt it for that matter, you can't cheese Atheon with change coin. so Imo, no real change needed.
