We have a project in our class where you have to survive on an "island" for a week or whatnot, and one of the students asked if they could bring an ax. Not to kill people but to cut firewood etc. guess what the teacher said? No because it's "too violent" and threatened the student with detention if he put it on his list of things to take along. I'm so -blam!-ing done with the zero tolerance policy, it's literally poisoning our youth to become total pussies and making them think that if something has a blade it's instantly a weapon and is inherently bad.

23 AntwortenThen, that student should put a time machine on his list - so he can go back to a time where a teacher would allow him to put a survival tool on his survival list. Also, on that list, should be a new teacher who's NOT an idiot. But I agree with you. My 6 year old was labeled a bully at school because he gave a hard High Five to another kid. He was sent to the principal's office and I had to come in for a conference that went like this: Principal : Your son hurt another student. Me : He gave him a High Five. Principal : Well, the student told him it was too hard and we had to contact his parents. His parents want your son removed from the class for this. Me : He gave him a High Five. Principal : I assured the other parent that we take bullying very seriously and this cannot be tolerated. So I have no choice but to give your son a 1 day suspension from school. Me : He gave him a High Five. So, when my son got home, he was very upset. Then we went to Chuck E Cheese, many High Fives were given. My son, who is SIX, knew the whole thing was stupid. His response to me when I asked him what he did "I gave him a High Five". I feel very sorry for the future of the human race as a whole.

Student: could I bring my girlfriend, my one and only true love? I wouldn't be able to live without her... Teacher: absolutely not! We will have no sexual comments at this school thank you!

You should tell your teacher the island is called "the forest" and there are naked albino people trying to eat you

5 AntwortenList your teacher's wit instead, and when he/she asks why, tell him/her that it's too dull to cut anyone.

1 AntwortenNo matches either cuz although as a human being you need warmth that's too violent because fire burns

Things have changed since I went to school. I wouldn't be able to handle it. I went to a hill-billy school where most of the guys had pocket knives in their pockets and shotguns in their trucks.

7 AntwortenEntrusting a child with a lethal weapon? Yeah that sounds like a great idea. The school was totally not justified in doing that.

When I was in middle school I -blam!-ing hated the office staff. I got bullied and when it was brought to there attention they swept it under the rug. When I got in trouble they swept it under the rug. It was a new school so they were trying to keep a clean record. All zero tolerance meant at my middle school was not letting the board know what really happened. This solved no problems at all.

Dang man, I had that same question not long ago. He let us pick 3 items (picked a gun, bullets and a hatchet) and he took away one (the gun). I made coconut bombs from the gunpowder in the bullets and coconuts another student brought and that was ok.

Also no rope because you can choke someone with it.
